Had my band removed yesterday because of some issues I was banded 10 years . I'm considering the sleeve my doctor wants me to heal 3 months before i do that and ill have to self pay in Mexico as my insurance won't cover it my BMI is to low and I'm not considered obese anymore. stressed and trying to figure out whats best for me some of my family keeps telling me you can do it on your own without surgery so frustrated and sad right now

My daughter had the sleeve done in Mexico and her doctor told her she should get the cocktail and he does them for himself quite often.

Has anyone heard of or tried the Myer cocktail? My daughter and I were told about it when she had the sleeve done so she could get her vitamins through IV

I have to have my band removed next week due to ulcers in stomach and throat . My band doctor said I don't qualify for WLS my BMI is not high enough I weigh 190 lbs down from 240 gained some back with the health issues drinking slider food Choclate shakes as they did not hurt or burn my throat like food did with having the ulcers .Im considering going to Mexico Im scared to death to gain all or some weight back any thoughts? id like to lose 40 -50 lbs my family and friends tell me to do it on my own? I wouldn't of loss without my tool the band ant help would be appreciated I spent most the day in tears yesterday

What doctor did you end up using? I get my band removed July 20h and depending on the damage will also know how long i need to wait to revise to sleeve

I'm trying to find out how often you should do then I have been told weekly 1time month every 3 months so I'm a little confused

My band is being removed next week as of July 6 I'll have my band 10 years and I'm scared of the weight gain that I can't sleep at night sometimes thinking about it . How has it been since the removal ?

Good morning Breakfast: yogurt lunch : will be out somewhere as i have a Dr apt to see if I may have to remove my band due to acid reflux or I may sit in my car and cry if thats the case hoping for a turkey wrap with out the wrap Dinner: left over wonton taco with beans snacls: nuts, protein drink 20 grams, Strawberries I hope you all have a great day

This is where i struggle i don't think i want to give up certain foods forever . I have done great with my band and would still have a small piece of cake or an ice cream with my grand baby just not eat it like i use too. I don't want to lose my band i meet with my band doctor tomorrow to see what he thinks and with people removing their band they have the same issues as i do and are at 10 yrs like me and with the ulcers my primary doc said i need my band out. I'm online trying to get as much info as I can before i make a choice

I would like to join and be held accountable today i weighed in at 195 need to loose 50 lbs banded 10 years ago in July

breakfast yogurt and an ice tea lunch turkey deli meat ,cheese stick snacks strawberries/blueberries/ protein shake dinner turkey meatballs with light sauce

Has any one done the myer cocktail? I was told that I should look into getting my vitamins that way

with the mini gastric do you eat 5 small meals a day? do you get stuck like you do with the band? I'm looking into a revision from the band to not sure trying to get a lot of info on all the surgeries before I decide

My daughter is 21 she had the sleeve June 1 2017 weighing about the same as your daughter she has always struggled with her weight this was a hard decision for her but the change in her self esteem and her smile is back she is feeling good. She is down 24 lbs at this point your daughter doesn't see hope a pound a week or less is hard to see the finish line when they are that heavy this is a tool and as the pounds drop it will excite her to the point she will want to start walking then exercise comes next with the energy she will gain dropping weight. Support her through this journey and watch the healthy changes you see in your baby girl.

Thank you for the info trying to get all i can before i make my decision. I have been nervous about revising to sleeve my insurance for cover the sleeve so i may go to Mexico and self pay
