    ACID Reflux/ GERD

Hello, Thank you. I have found that chewing a piece of gum helps a lot after eating. I buy a pack of gum almost every other day.
  2. Hello, I started running about 3 weeks ago, and my legs were in so much pain for days. Therefore, I had to give my body a break. For situations like some pain or bad weather that does not allow me to get to the gym, I bought a spin bike online that was less than $125.00 easy to assemble. Now, for some excercise, I try to ride the bike for at least 10-15 minutes. This might be a good investment. Congrats on your weight loss!
  3. Hello Nancy, I had some of these same issues. This is my first month since July of not vomiting after eating certain foods. The heartburn has gotten better. I try new foods with caution, but right at 3 months- it is better. My good friend has been chewing gum it helps my stomach feel better after eating. Plus I feel normal after chewing gum. Also, I have done well with eating fish and my new favorite meat is snow crabs - easy to eat. I also eat watermelon; it is soft. Also, I eat mussels now - packed with protein and iron. I hope this helps.
  4. Hello, I had the sleeve procedure almost 3 months ago. I had a lower BMI but decided to do the procedure because of high blood pressure and diabetes. My BP has been up and down, but it seems to be going up some days- not to the point of before surgery. I must admit I stress a lot. I just started checking the morning blood levels - last 3 days, and they had ranged from 60s to 140s. Has anyone experienced this? Has any of the conditions gone into remission? If yes, how long did it take? Thank you.
  5. Hello, Congrats on your first 5 months. You look fantastic!

    ACID Reflux/ GERD

Hello, My doctor put me on medication for GERD. I cannot remember the name but it starts with a "p." Anyway, it does seem to help; I can sleep at night. Also, I can drink more water.
  7. Hello all, Thank you for your responses. How did the conversion to RNY work since you had a lower BMI from the sleeve procedure?
  8. Hello, Has anyone had problems with GERD/Acid Reflux? I have been recently put on medication for it. Has anyone been put on medication for this and was able to come off after a few weeks or months after GSV? Thank you.
  9. Hello, Can anyone share their experience with acid reflux/ GERD? My surgery was slightly more than 3 weeks ago, and I am having trouble with this. Food feels like it is my chest or throat. It does feel better when I walk and sometimes it keeps me up at night. Does this go away? I read about people having another surgery done to get it rid of it; I do not want to think about that option. I am very interested in hearing about another person's experience. Thank you.

    Surgery 1 week away-feelings?

Hello, Congrats on your success. I had my surgery 3 weeks ago, and the only person who knows is my husband. I started at a lower bmi, and I did not want people to belittle or talk about me for my decision. I had high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes. Do you know how long it took for your diabetes to go into remission? Thank you.
  12. Hello, How are you doing now? I also had gastric sleeve on July 20th. It is difficult to drink more than 2 bottles of water each day. Also, sometimes I feel that the food is in my throat or chest. Does anyone else have this? I believe it is GERD.
  13. Congrats on the win and welcome back!
  14. Hello, My surgery was less than 3 weeks ago, and my first week was difficult. I also lack energy, but I am starting to feel better. I tried moving around more to feel physically and mentally better (I started walking). Walking with listening to music really helps me. I think it could be an adjustment phase. If you have major concerns, call you surgeon's office. I wish you well!
