12 pounds gained in three months. oh well , i will handle it accordingly !!!!!! Dont worry about it...

I had gastric sleeve 3 and a half years ago. I lost 4 and a half stone but have put 4 back on. Has anyone got any advise what to do? I am going through the menopause and finding it impossible to lose weight 😔 I paid for my surgery £8.800 and regret it now it was a waste if money.

I am 7 months post op and have some leftover supplies from my liquid phase and I would rather not throw them out as they are still good and unopened. I'd like these to go to someone who is already surgery approved and prepping for their post-op recovery and could use these for their liquid phase. I know how expensive it can be to prep for your Protein needs post-op and would like to help out someone else who could use these items. This is what I have to offer:

13 packets of bariatric pal chicken bouillon packets.
2 packets of vanilla Unjury protein packets
2 packets of chocolate unjury protein packets
2 packets of strawberry unjury protein packets
2 packets of unflavored unjury protein packets
5 packets of chicken Soup unjury protein packets

I got approved! I go in for my consultant on the aug 17th!!! Then I hope I get my surgery date! I'm so excited!

As you can see, it really just depends on your insurance and your surgeon's office! I was approved by my insurance before my first appointment (the office called to pre-verify) and they gave me a list of everything I needed to do for my insurance and just scheduled my surgery date that day I was there. I was pretty surprised at how quickly they did it!

My surgery date is Monday 14th and my plane lands early but yet, It's now Saturday and I have not had a notice of who is picking me up in San Diego! Ahh, trying to calm my nerves and not think of food.

First and foremost, wanted to say a huge congrats to all who have made the decision to get surgery. There's a misconception that it is the "easy way out" and given the research I've needed to do in order to even get this far, I know it is no where NEAR easy. So congrats to y'all.
A little bit about me: I've been struggling with my weight ever since I was in high school but most significantly since I entered college. Of course there's the "freshman 15" but I gained about 35 pounds that year alone. Two years later my boyfriend of four years past away and that set me on a depression that lead to even more weight gain. I've been unhappy with myself and completely lost self confidence. After a frank and honest discussion with my family, we decided that more extreme measures needed to be taken as diet and exercise wasn't working. Unfortunately, my health insurance will not cover the surgery (due to the plan we have) and it's too much to pay out of pocket in the US. So I have made the decision to go forward with surgery in Mexico and have already taken the first step in submitting the questionnaire.

Thank you so much! It did!! I just got home. I am sore, but I was prepared for the worst, and so far it hasn't been as bad as I was expecting. Whew!

Hey Kaycee7, Thank you for the words of encouragement .If you only new how much I needed that. Also I'm getting a second opinion Wednesday and a 3rd Thursday just in case . Cross your fingers and say a prayer for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ydiva1, I am so devastated for you! I know making the major changes is difficult and you're doing your best. Can you request a second opinion? I think scheduling is pretty important to success too. You have a pace set. I'm sorry to hear about your tears and I would do the same.

Anyone else have theirs scheduled for this weekend? My surgery is scheduled for 10:30, prayers and good vibes please! Today I am 90%excited and 10%nerves! I hope it stays that way lol!

Hey guys! I'm so excited. Just got a call from my insurance coordinator and my gastric bypass has been approved! Just wanted to give you guys a timeline if anyone's curious. (BCBS Michigan)
February 14th: Weight loss surgery orientation
February 28th: began classes that are required by insurance. (8 weeks)
March 6th: first appointment with surgeon.
March 16th: Psychologist appointment. (3 of them, a week apart each time)
April 19th: Last class.
April 20th: Nutrition evaluation (required)
May 3rd: Everything was submitted to insurance for approval.
May 8th: Received the approval.
I have BCBS of Michigan, overall the process was about 3 months total. I'm so excited for the future.
