I do the GNC lean shake, Snickerdoodle flavor. I'm at month 4 and it is still going down smoothly, very filling and tastes great! 25g of Protein, 170 calories and 3 net carbs.

I did try the caramel premier shake and it was good too, but I love the snickerdoodle gnc shake best!

I was never a big Water drinker, but since my surgery (2 days ago) I can't even tbink about drinking it. Crystal light is a little better. I think I'm going to talk to the visiting nurse about Powerade 0 tom. I am not drinking much at all. broth, popsicles, yogurt, pudding all go in fine, but liquids...no way! I also read that ppl use gas x strips, I can't find them ANYWHERE, are the desolving ones ok?

My surgery was a week ago today. I'm down 23.1 pounds since that day. I see most people in the first couple months seem to loose between 20-40 pounds and that is what I expected. To be over half way there in a week has me a little excited but concerned at the same time. I've been meeting the diet requirements I was given which was basically 60 Fluid ounces and 50 grams of Protein a day. I'm feeling great and I'm having no problem getting my fluids down, I could do more if I needed to. I would love to hear opinions on this before I go back for my follow-up on Monday.

It has been a month since my surgery and I feel the same. It's hard bc I live with my parents and they are always eating out or making unhealthy food that I can't even touch not only that, my bf always tells me I'm taking the easy way out and puts me down for ever getting the surgery. I feel so alone and when I get compliments my bf will not even let me except them he then takes it as an insult. What I find that helps me sometimes is writing in my journal and taking a walk and actually looking and taking time to enjoy the beauty

I'm having the same issue I can't drink the carnation drink it's to sweet I'm only getting about 32 to 40 ounces of Water in and my protein level suck

How everyone I just had my vsg surgery on 5/22/17. I am almost 3 weeks out I feel great, my incision are almost heal I am tolerating liquids fine the only problem I encounter was not liking none of the Protein Shakes. My last resource was the sugar free carnation Breakfast & I like it. The only problem is I was worried because 13 grams of Protein per shake is not enough to meet the requirements so I bought fairlife milk that have 13 grams of protein plus the the shake makes it 26 grams of protein in each shake. Just putting it here just in case anyone else have a similar situation or problems with the protein shakes. I am very excited with this new journal I am starting can't wait to start exercising.

How far out from surgery are you? You definitely need to be drinking your fluids. I'm not sure if you're having a hard time tolerating plain water... if that's the case, maybe try to add flavor infuser drops. I use Trulemon and it's delicious, 10cals/pack, and helps get my fluids in. If it's been a few days of you majorly missing your Water goals then call your surgeon office and let them know.

When I had that issue with Water, I thought of all the times I was gut-bustingly full before surgery and kept eating. I then applied that to water. Just keep drinking it even if you don't want to.

I had a dream about a big juicy hamburger 3 days after post op and i dang near knocked a old lady over trying to get my burger then i woke up embarrassed and mad cuz i didnt get a bite
