  1. Hi Danny I had my surgery on 7/19 I am down 42 LB I will be 66 next month. I also am off blood pressure medicine taking a diuretic when needed. I do find the weight loss slow down a little bit because of my age and I just have to move more. I have really severe arthritis and at times it's really painful to keep moving but I am walking everyday. Congratulations on your weight loss you are doing awesome keep up the wonderful work.

  2. Hey Gloria, so how are you doing? I,m 66 and looking at August for mine. I was worried about age also, but anything would be better than living like this (or yikes even maybe getting worse) for the rest of my life. Tired of being tired, can't breathe, can't really even exercise much. Did you have any problems or suggestions? Good luck

Hi there I am doing great I lost 42 pounds already other than having a little problem in the beginning with the small infection that has cleared up right away. Even though I always had a life that I was sitting down watching TV and eating things that work the best for me I am now walking everyday and getting these weak legs of mine a run for their money lol. Hope you're doing this is a journey I probably should have done years ago but I'm glad I did it now. I'm on a regular bariatric diet which means I can eat mostly anything if it agrees with me and looking forward to what the future brings I hope you're doing well on your weight loss Journey take care.

  3. After I had my surgery within a few days one of the areas where they removed the part of the stomach became infected and I was on strong antibiotics for a week and that really set be back for a while. I was so thankful my son was with me during that time so he was able to help me with bandages and medications. But it's been a while and I'm all healed I've had physical therapy and feeling better I'm not 100%and I didn't even do that much exercise wise even before surgery. I try to walk daily to get strength back in my legs. You'll be fine just take one day at a time and do what you can walking is the best exercise you can do. As far as feeling full my stomach starts to feel weird also when I'm eating and I stop. Take care wishing you the best on your recovery.

Hi, I'm new to this forum. I thought it would be great to communicate with someone that is older like me. I have been through all of my prelims and my scheduled surgery date is June 20th. I will be starting on my liquid, liver shrinking diet on June 6th. I welcome any and all information from all of you pros out there that have been through where I'm heading.

How was your surgery and how are you feeling? I'm still on my liquid pre-op diet surgery is scheduled July 19th hope you're doing well take care..

  5. Since I'm on liquids pre-op I do drink Premier Protein only the chocolates. I've tried many different Proteins and can tolerate them but Premier Protein seems to work. I know post-surgery I'll be on liquids for a while before going to pureed food I'll be very anxious to get some regular food and me even though it's just pureed. Wishing you well speedy recovery..
