  1. Thanks all for the info. I had read and heard this is a problem for a lot of folks. They even discussed it with us in the class we attended and changed me to a few smaller pills. I guess they kind of put it in my head. How about drinking? they said that can be difficult as well?

    Awesome! Lost Ten Pounds!

I had no energy before I started to do to my pre opt diet because of my Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome. Now my energy level is really none existent, it's hard to get out of bed. I think I am going to wait to get on the scale until a week or 2 after surgery. Congrats All on the weight loss already!
  3. I am really afraid I am going to have a hard time swallowing all my pills plus all the vitamins after surgery. I asked my doctor about it at my pre op visit Friday and he told me to just coat them in vegetable oil. Really? I hear just getting your food, water and vitamins down is hard enough and not something everyone can do. I can't come off them because they are to treat my Chiari Brain Malformation Symptoms and my Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome , which is also why I have gained all this weight. I spend about 15 hours a day in bed. Can anyone give me any insight on swallowing pills and vitamins after surgery? Or is anyone else out there scared of this as well? Am I just being silly?

    Feeling defeated....

I had a bit of an infection showing in my blood work as well, i think i know what its from. But my doctor slapped me right on antibiotics last week and i'm still scheduled. I also wonder why he did not just give u some antibiotics? I hope it goes down so u can still have surgery. I will be praying 4 u.

    May Sleevers?

My surgery is scheduled for May 15th 2017 and I am so excited! However, my doctor does not have me on an all-liquid diet. Instead, I am on a high protein, low fat, no sugar/Carb diet 2 weeks before surgery. I was a bit concerned because I had never heard of this before. He explained the 2-week diet beforehand is only to make my liver smaller and the same can be accomplished with the 2-week diet he provided. Has anyone else ever heard of a doctor doing this? EDIT Sorry seems like i found the answer to this after reading all posts lol. Anyone out there scheduled for the 15th?
