  1. I am at goal, havent had my band loosend but am eating pasta and rice, have those pre made frozen dinners, i know got to watch, but having daily, do you see as a problem,am watching my cals. Will it affect my pouch??
  2. How long have you been at goal, how long did it take you to get to goal, did you have alot of weight to lose. Now at goal, how do you tell your mind no even though you have lost weight, you will put on again if eat all that junky food.

To me having the lapband is personal, now i have lost my weight i noticed, very noticeable even when surgeon repositioned as deep as he can a roung circle lice 20cent piece and where the tube starts, also scar from incission, i dont want a new prospective partner to know what i have done, what excuss can i use? hernia operation and scar tissue with prolapse now lost weight???? help suggestions i have problem enough with really sloppy thighs and bottom now,HHHHHHHHEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPP. Please.

    Cravvvvings

    It is that time of the month, yep i eat more, want chocolate, or something sweet, and carbs - pasta noodles, any ideas. don't want to slowly put on all the weight i have lost,also really tired so cannot excercise, absolutely buggered. Any suggestions, vitamins, etc. greatly appreciated.

And me and that time of month,really tired headache, just want chocolate, somethong sweet,carbs, but this doesnt help even though i tell myself it will, then i have the bad feelings after, oh help all those calories in one day, like 800 cals on chocolate and........ Any suggestions on what to tell myself? don't eat that i don't want to put on weight,don't want to be fat again.

    Don't understand the teeth bit????? what? has it got something to do with being overweight, or vomitting, or someone to adjust false teeth, please explain what u meant in regards to the teeth.

    Hey your weightloss not going bad, everyone loses at different paces, as long as you there in the end is all that matters. Some people excercise more , some cannot excercise much at first then they are all out there,energetic and going for walks,running ,etc.

    Yep that is exactly what mine is like. These damn Aussie docors eh? But I would not remove my band and do not regret at all. You nice Americans , I Tthink are alot more at ease re lapbanding as as I can see by the members on this site and sites I looked at for info, all the feedback and information from you guys is great. I can eat everything, I am 1 and a half years out, and boy oh boy what a difference it has made to my life. I have to eat and drink when I am taking my tablets otherwise there is terrible terrible burning in my throat. Hope everyone doing as well as I did, and here's to me informative and friendly,helpful discussions on here. All the best everyone. God Bless.

  12. I have been a goal for 7 months now, i tend to go between 51.5 and 54 kg. do not weigh myself daily anymore, but think possibly a good idea again, nore do i write down food and calories for the day. Anyone have opinions on what i should do to keep maintaining???:w00t:

  14. Why is drinking water so important for the last 5 days had only 1 or 2 glasses, and i have put on 2kilos. Why oh why?please explain, I know everyone says drink water to flush the system???// but how does it work for weight???:eek:
  15. I have been at goal now for months, but getting sweet cravings, and yep is that time of month. A friend told me with lapband it is common to have sweet cravings when you get to goal, and you can take some type of vitamin for it, is it allowed? i am not taking any vitamins at all, and had blood test the other day, and everything is great.:blushing:
  16. I know that there is a heading why are YOU fat, I feel that this should be a positive sight ---people want to change, so I personally would like to have positive headings _WHY PREVIOUSLY FAT? A heading as you have lost a significant amount of weight you can post on there as a positive reinforcement for self and others, yes iI know there is also a heading those at or near goal, but hec not many posting on there, hope all the now skinnys are not leaving this sight, but will stay to help others and reinforce to themselves that YES YES YES I DID IT _ AND I AM NEVER GOING TO BE FAT AGAIN. What I was doing wrong, okay you have heard it a million times before - yep I know, but I am going to say it anyway, yep I was lazy-did not excercise, i am not saying all overweight people are lazy,but I know I was, and the more weight I put on,the less excercise I would do. Also eating all the fattening foods, yep drivethrough -- got to go here or got to go there,can't be bothered to cook for myself, yet now I do not say I never have a hamburger but not like 5 times a week with double cheese, and yes I will have the scones ,yes sometimes a little cream,most times plain,not the way I use to do it before making certain every last drop of cream was on my scone,sometimes I tell you that was hard to do, because had to pile it on top of all the jam --- shivers my mentality was I paid for it I am going to enjoy it,gsh paid the same amount for the one scone with jam and cream as I could buy 6 scones in the supermarket for. I now make good food choices most of the time, and also get the extra excercise in hee and there, say when visiting a friend and it is a nice day -- hey why don't we go for a walk across to the shops, or go to the lake? And yes I was an emotional eater, eat when I completed or achieved something, when I was upset,stressed etc. Come-on all inspire me and others, this is like my weightloss maintenance site, and a sight where others can see we all been there and done that. May everyone achieve their goals, God Bless. We are all here for each other,to help each other ,what may work for one may not work for another, the weight loss speed is different, but certainly you will be able to relate to some users on this site, and yep we help each other.

    Why PREVIOUSLY WERE YOU FAT?

    I notice that now I look at fatter people in the supermarket and see what they are buying, also what they order in the cafe,etc. I use to think gosh a pack of portioned cheese is so expensive compared to a block, ok if I do buy the block I read the label and cut it to the correct portions from the beginning. No more buying uneccessary large serves because it is cheaper, would I rather save a little money, and have to spend on buying larger clothes in the long run, and medical bills, no feeling good about myself, well i KNOW LOTS OF THESE PAST HABITS WERE LEARNED BEHAVIOURS, HEY i AM SMARTER,MORE CONFIDENT NOW I CAN MAKE THE CHOICE, and I know my choices are far far better now I never use to read labels , oh now I do, infact if I go shopping with my Sis, the comment is what took you so long to buy those few items, then she says i know you were reading the labels, now she often buys the brands/ products I use,as do here friends, and guess what they all losing weight. BUT THE BAND HAS BEEN MY SAVIOUR IT HAS CHANGED MY WHOLE LIFE, yep and only had it done in Sept 2007, gosh if I could live my life over again I would eat sensibly ,the right portions,and excercise, but alas if I was force feed and use to all the fattening foods, wow I would get out there and have the band quick smart, and then re educate myself as I have done, reading articles on food, reading this sight,weight loss magazines, etc.

    I definately needs arms doing skin even piled up at my elbows, my tummy just the lower section has excess flab, the tops of my legs and bottom have heaps and heaps of saggy skin, my boobs could do with a lift, dont know if i would do a boob job as apparently only lasts 15 to 18 years, a few friends have had a boob job, but ah just a boob lift,small bras come in such nice sets,and so so much cheaper than i was use to paying,i have seem some lovely body suits,but none padded,and i need padding mainly to give me shape, not just droop, yes please let me know costs, doctors ,results,etc. as definately want to look into.---------even if another loan needed,something i said i would never do,but if it makes me feel good about myself ,gosh what the hec.
  19. I posted under a heading of transfered addictions earlier on another sight - the general one on here. I know i need to go on a 12 step type of program. Was going to get a note book and allow myself say $30 A WEEK to spend, if i dont spend it it adds up. Keep telling myself , or i should say asking myself do i really need it,or do i just want it as it is a good price, trying to turn from clothes food shopping to towels,sheets etc. Anyone out there had the same prob. Any advice ,reading material,etc. greatly appreciated.:confused:n

    Thank you so much for your advice, have been watching tv program from america - till debt do use part, the cash seems to be the way to go, will do what you are doing. There is no debtors help in western australia - yes at one stage the catholic church had one group meeting,but alas not anymore, will keep trying to track down a group, support to talk to, and to know it is not just me -- yep i have a compulsive personality i decided. All the best with your weightloss. And thanks again for sharing what works for you -- will definately try.

    Jacqui i know you have been at goal for a while, when you put on half a kilo, or even 1kg - when i put on a kilo i freak, do you really watch what you eat?excercise more? how often do you weigh? i have been weighing one or two times a week. been having sweet cravings lately, trying to have healthy fruit, low cal deserts etc. do you take vitamins, i am eating everything so havent taken vitamins in months, i know i should be drinking more water instea of coffees and tea.any good advice appreciated.:biggrin:

    I was banded on 18th november 2007 by Tony Keirth, have gone from 102kg to 54kg and maintained for 7 months so far, and will keep maintaining. Anyone had good plastic surgery results , who ,where, how much. Hope to cathchup with fellow banisters in Perth soon

    Am at goal, but now have become a compulsive shopper, not just clothes,shoes,anythinh help. I live in australia - Perth, have logged on under different sites to read and get advice, i was going to go to a doctor and get a refferal to a phsyc. I am in major major debt, and keep borrowing money --- need to pay bills but shop,shop,shop,mainly cheap shops and opshops, but heck i must have 60 times more clothes etc than anyone,watched oprah the other day, no i am not quiet as bad, but want to stop before i get there.help.:thumbdown:
