    Chicago Sleevers

Hi! I'm in Park Ridge, had my surgery in Evanston with Dr. John Linn. I know it's late, but I hope it all went well!
  2. What a wonderful post! Not only was it inspiring, but you're a wonderful writer too! I work in healthcare myself and I've seen the specrum of sucess and failure with patients. When my day finally came, I had to make peace with the fact that it might not work, but I had to try. Now, three weeks later, I can't tell you how much of a relief I feel that food isn't taking over my life anymore! I know there will always be issues, I'll always want a slice a pizza, but to go about my day, not constantly thinking about my next meal is liberating. I don't think my doctor grasps how greatful I am for his changing my life, but I'll try to tell him next time I see him without getting too clingy. Congrats to everyone!
  3. I usually manage to get my 10,000 a day with the help of my loveable mutt, and the walking around I do at my job. There's a beautifuly wooded path near my work building that I loved to go after work. Before my surgery, it would take me 60-75 minutes to complete. I tried it for the first time yesterday and it took 95 minutes and I was falling asleep exhausted when I finally finished. I guess I'm not quite ready for it yet!
  4. I was told no gum, but I'm always paranoid about my breath since I have to work so closely to people. I started using breath spay instead. So far, I haven't had any complaints about stinky breath, so I think it works.

    Sore Tailbone!

I'm three weeks out and I had this problem right away. It would hurt getting into bed and sometimes just lying on my back. My suspicion was that it came from usually sleeping on my side. It's still a bit tender, but since I've been able to walk more, the pain has lessened.
  6. My friend showed up without me expecting it the day after surgery. I was terrified at first that it was internal bleeding! But it turned out fine. The wonderful surgical staff gave me disposable undies and I ended my cycle much quicker than normal. Couldn't tell if I had my normal cramps because of all the weirdness going on in my stomach, though.

    Stuck burps

I'm three weeks out and I tend to get these in the morning. Any ideas on why? And/Or remedies?
