It was supposed to be outpatient, but I couldn't arrange a ride home today, I live an hour and a half away from the hospital, so they are letting me stay over!! And no additional cost [emoji2] So glad. I think outpatient is strange for this much work.

I'm so glad you're doing well! Are they keeping you overnight? I'm considering a 360 body lift and thigh lift and they are saying it's done outpatient...

    My plastic surgery was today!
I had it done by Dr. Kara in Scarborough, Ontario. He did a lower body lift with fleur de lis Tummy Tuck, muscle repair and lipo!! He is absolutely wonderful. So caring and was literally excited to transform me!!
Surgery lasted 7 hours and he removed 10lbs of skin and fat!!!
I'm doing well, haven't moved yet, so we'll see how that goes in an hour or two. Otherwise pain is good. I actually feel better then after my RNY!
Anxious to get to see something, but certainly not in a rush.
Very sleepy, I'll update more later

Just thought I'd make an update. It's about 2.5 days since my lower body lift. Just got up after a good chunk of sleep and feeling itchy!! All over itchy!! As it's still night I took another Percocet, but feeling like I'll only need those now when sleeping and probably just 1 instead of the 2 I was taking. I took the clinic recommendations to take your pain meds as directed every 4 hours for the first couple days to stay in front of the pain. That I think has definitely helped although I'm kinda done with being in the groggy state of mind.
I've had two poops (tmi I know but very important) and didn't need anything to get things going. Ive been feeling like a need to couch, but it hurt to much to try. Just slowly was able to couch up two chucks of yellow crap from my lungs, not sure whats that all about.
I think I've transitioned from lazy boy to couch with masses of pillows for support. I was able to get up and down just now pretty comfortably.
So far no issues. I do have staples and will likely have those out Monday.
That's all I can think of for now. Oh I did weigh myself, out of curiosity and was expecting to be up, even though they took 15lbs. I went into surgery at 197 and yesterday I was 195. Thought that was pretty good. Night night for now.

You look great. I was sleeved April 25th 2017. I'm down 54lbs since surgery. I haven't had any stalls. But my best friend that was sleeved has. Our diets are totally different. I Don't eat any bread, Pasta or rice. But she does from time tone. I was told not to for 6months. She said she wasn't told that. I also burn way more calories than I eat and she doesn't.. so watch what you eat. Oh and I also started craving and eating more vegetables. It's been helping with my bowels..

Oh my word. I'm glad you are feeling better. I'm sorry you went through that. I was sleeved April 25th 2017. I didn't really have pain. I never took any meds for pain. The nurses should never be rude. I'm the type of person that would go over everyone's head until I get what I need. I will jump the chain of command if need be.

My surgeon says my surgery went well with no complications. Once I woke up i was in a lot of pain in my abdomen. It feels like you are being stabbed over and over and in waves of pain. I do have gas but it's subsiding as I walk and pass gas.
When I got back to my room the pain would not subside. My 1st nurse was rude and told me that I'm only allowed a certain amount of pain medication at a certain time as it was prescibed. I put up with pain until I got mad cause I felt like I was being tortured. She came at 430pm and gave me morphine. It did nothing I called for her 4 times after and she was ignoring me. I was in so much pain. My bf had left to walk our dog and I was alone so I text my sister because I couldn't even talk from the pain. I told her what was happening let's just say that lady rushed in my room and gave me propofol and I passed out with no pain finally. After that my nurse switched shifts and I have a great nurse who is giving me my nauseous and pain meds that work. Point of story: You should not be in pain at the hospital!!! Day 2 which is today took my drink test and I passed. I'm feeling so much better today. Only taking ice chips. Tried to sip a bit of Soup yesterday and my tummy got tight. So for now only ice chips.

About year ago, I had my gastric sleeve surgery. Its been a crazy time learning exactly how my body interacts with different foods. The truth is, everyone is different, and you just have to learn for yourself what will work for you. Im not perfect. I eat pizza from time to time. Ive blown it out a weekend or 2, or 3. But then I review everything my doctor told me, and I bounce back. From the start I told my doctor that I never wanted to be fat again, I did not want to lose hair and I didn't want loose skin. Well, I did lose some hair, quite a bit at first. It hasn't come back, but is has stopped falling out... I think. I was advised that no matter what, if I lose weight fast, I will have loose skin. So Ive been determined to lose weight as slow as possible. I take in more calories and food than is probably recommended, but I also work out. I started out close to 300 pounds. Today I'm about 206. I lost a bulk in the first month, then about 50 plus pounds over the next 10 months. A part of me wanted to lose much more per month, but I also did not have any loose skin, which was a (superficial) goal. My goal is to get down to around 170-180. Ive been trying to amp it up a bit in the Gym to accomplish that. The most satisfying part of my weight loss journey has been all the energy I have to spend on my 2 young sons and my beautiful wife. I just turned 39, and I feel better than I ever have, ( with the exception of a little knee tendonitis) I sometimes forget my Vitamins, and occasionally fall back into bad eating habits, but instead of gaining 30 pounds like before, the scale my move just a few ticks up, enough to put me into panic mode and get on track. Im off all my meds, no more high blood pressure, no high cholesterol, no acid reflux ( just finsteride for hair loss). I look forward to the next year and continuing toward my goal. I wish everyone well, and hope all those who are just beginning the process great success!

...so today, I told my mother in law that I was having WLS and getting sleeved Friday (28-Jul). She told me to save myself the recovery and just stop eating french fries. Where was that helpful information all along?!?!?! LOL
In all seriousness, I am in the process of getting approved for time off after my surgery and the short term benefits manager at my company literally told me that if I utilized the work gym, I wouldn't have to take time off to "deal with this now".

Seriously, WTF people. Its hard enough making the decision I made, so not very thankful for the peanut gallery!
I am trying to stay positive and blocking out all the judgy comments. I am hoping that will be easier when I can rock an "I told you so" body.
    <end rant>

I have over 40 pairs of pants and other clothes.... a total of 8 construction sized plastic bags I have to take to Goodwill's thrift shop... I am getting rid of all of them. So far I have only bought a couple of pairs of dress pants for work that were on sale and those will have to be donated very soon as well.

@jess9395 YESSSSSS. Omg! That is too frickin' awesome.
To OP, the dietitian I used to work with (before joining the bariatric program) told me not to keep ANY "fat" clothing because the fit of your clothing is a better indicator of your weight than the scale, which can reflect all manner of odd variables. She said when her pants became tight or uncomfortable she knew she was probably 4-5 pounds above her usual weight range and needed to cut back on sweets and snacking or add in some more exercise.
Take her words for what they're worth. I have no personal experience with this - I wear 95% dresses and skirts... they're very forgiving. It'll probably take 100+ pounds lost before I need new clothes.
