if you have purged yourself of sugar since october then i am sure you will have a strong reaction, especially with something as sugar and carb laden as ice cream.

jaminator got a reaction from FluffyChix in I hate eating out now!
I think a lot of this has to do with the "legacy way of thinking about eating". At first i had the same issue where i would stress about it and think its a waste. Then i decided to just stop worrying about it. Instead of being overly concerned about something going to waste, i just order what i want and eat what i can. If its worth taking home i take it, if not just let them take it away. Before I would think you have to eat it all, but you really dont. The servings in most restaurants are way too huge.
If you dont like throwing it away, then order something that reheats well and then you can have 2 or 3 meals with it.

I got the card too but never use it because i dont feel like having to explain myself, and the kids menu is usually either not good, or not healthy.

jaminator got a reaction from FluffyChix in Scared since vsg
The first couple months really sucked for me. I could only eat a tiny bit of food. Just focus on hydration and eat a little bit at a time. In my experience the first few months were a chore. Lightheaded a lot of time, it was hard to drink enough Water, and a tiny bit of food made me feel uncomfortable. But as you get farther out your sleeve should heal up and expand a bit and you will feel better. You just have to adjust to your new normal. I eat more often than i did before, but i just eat less each time.

jaminator got a reaction from jennypenny1998 in How do you keep from regaining weight and stretching stomach?
Im at the point now where i can eat just about anything i want. But i just dont eat a lot of it. I tend to stick with Protein first, and then veg. But if i want a cheat day there is nothing stopping me from a small burger or chicken tenders or something. I just order the smallest size they have.

Yeah start waling as much as possible. I was doing 2-3 miles within 4 days of surgery and it really helped get me back on my feet. I felt like an overinflated baloon before i started walking a lot.

jaminator got a reaction from SewAmbitious in I just cheated on my pre op diet...😢😢
My doctor told me to wait for 4 months, and then that i needed to live my life. SO i am able to drink wine, and whiskey with 15 calorie minute maid juices, (lemonade, fruite punch, or mango passionfruit) with no issue. The biggest hurdle for me was giving up beer, because i LOVED it. But i got over that. I have had a few beers over the last couple months, but its very filling so cant do much. Wine or whisky you can pretty much drink however much i want.
She told me that it would be difficult to never drink again if you did before and are around people that do. And to be honest, now it takes maybe four drinks ( i mix a shot and a half with about 24 ounces of juice, so i get very hydrated), or 2-3 glasses of wine and thats all i need.

She told me to start 30 days out. So for the most part i went like this:
Monday - Friday i made homemade choc Protein Powder smoothie with skim milk and cold brew coffe and crushed ice.
Somedays i would have liquid diet for lunch but not always if i was hungry.
I would have a sensible dinner with some kind of grilled meat and a green veggie

Sat - Sun i ate whatever the f*** i wanted, and drank alcohol.

I lost 12 pounds doing that.

Day before surgery I had a bowl of Pasta, my kryptonite.

Doctor said my liver looked fine and surgery went great. And since surgery iv lost over 50 pounds because i just cant eat very much. 6 months out i can eat pretty much anything i want, i just dont eat much of it. But i still try to eat sensible monday through friday and the scale keeps dropping 2-3 pounds a week.
