At this point in my life, I must have read at least a million weight loss success stories and they follow a general pattern:
1. A person made goal by religiously tracking their calorie intake.
2. A person got to their goal weight by tracking, life happened and they stopped tracking, and now they've regained weight (sometimes possibly gained more weight than the last time they started).
3. A person got to goal weight by tracking calorie intake, and they continue to maintain their weight by tracking their calorie intake.
Tracking seems to be an important theme here. Do what works for you.

I would never have made it to a normal BMI without obsessively tracking. I still obsessively track and will for the rest of my life. Otherwise, I know what will happen - it's happened a thousand times before..

Tracking and limiting carbs have been the keys to my success. And I've lost 217 pounds and am at goal one year post-op after starting at nearly 400 pounds. I'd tell them to bite me and do what you know works for you.

Thank you! ((hugs)) We're fine here with only rain and only tiny bits of wind (we're on the dirty side of the storm). But we don't know if it will head back out to the Gulf and come in around Galveston/Freeport area and hit us harder?
I woke up worrying about @Newme17 and how she and her family were doing. Harvey hit at Rockport which is pretty much right on top of Corpus.

I've just been plugging away. Not perfect, but making progress and not much is changing from day to day that warrants a new post. I'm still lurking the boards and other people's status updates.
