    Stage 3 food

I'm three weeks Wednesday and I'm on protein. My program suggest three meals a day ND no snacking. I have a egg for breakfast, tuna for lunch and been trying different meat at dinner. Very small amounts. So far so good.
  2. Who knew sipping would be so hard? I feel I don't get that satisfied feeling unless I drink half the water bottle.

I had soup the last ten days and didn't worry about the label. 1/4 cup three times a day was not gonna add up. Good luck

    Week 9 post op....

I'm only two weeks out and disappointed in the scale. But trying on clothes in my closet...that is what made me say "wow"! Just keep working the program. Good luck to both of us.

    Tomorrow!!!

Good luck! Happy surgery and wishing you a speedy recovery!
  9. I had my surgery two weeks ago and have a 2 yr old. I had my parents help for two days and it wasn't needed. But everyone is different. I didn't take pain meds at home and went on with my life. Water and fluid intake no problems. Moving onto food tomorrow goodbye soups and pudding.

    Birth Control

I had the bypass and was told the pill increased chances of blood clots and therefore had to go off it. Make sure to discuss it with your surgeon as well as your obgyn.

    Birth Control

I had to stop my pills before surgery and go with another plan. I got the DEPO shot about three weeks prior to surgery and couldn't be happier. It's already stopped my period which has been great. I was told the pill was a thing of my past.

    OVER EATING

My NUT always says go back to the beginning to the basics and get on track. Don't wait til Monday just do it now. You can do it!
  14. Cheetos and popcorn and you're not even healed yet? I hope you can remember why you did this surgery and get on plan soon. Best of luck.
  15. My surgeon didn't give me a date. It wasn't until I met goal weight, attended classes, met with the shrink and then my case worker assigned my date. She basically held the cards. But that's Kaiser, Northern California.
  16. Bypass on 2/15 also, I'm not hungry just bored. Can't have shakes on my program so soup and broth for me.
  17. I'm a week out and feel I can eat anything. But it's not about us. It's about the new pouch and our insides healing properly. I have to remind myself that. Good luck

    Hello everyone. New to forum

I'm with you. No pain no meds easy to walk. Had bypass on 2/15. I only had to stay on clear liquids for three days. I'm on soft foods now for ten days and I'm loving it. Yogurt, soup, applesauce, jello and pudding.

    Walking

10,000 steps a day is phenomenal. It's the equivalent of five miles. I used to take my dog out twice a day and struggle hitting goal. I'm usually between 6000-7000.

    I'm on my way!!

    Anybody on Atkins?

The diet set up after surgery is basically Atkins. High protein low carb. Just work your program and you'll be fine. Good luck!
