  1. Oh man my last post was on the 12th. Time to catch up then. Here goes. This will be a long one lol

5/13 - Nothing special happened. I ran out of meal prep so I brought 1 lb of turkey. To be honest, I ate that pound throughout the day. I am sure that was a lot of protein. Water intake was decent, no complaints.

5/14 - Weighed in for my weekly and now weigh 221 lbs. I was excited since I thought I may have reached a stall already. That was a 4 lbs loss from the previous week.  Took my mom to the spa to be pampered lol. Went and had dinner with my boyfriends parents. His mom kept trying to feed me pasta. He had told them I could not have certain foods but his mom did not understand what he had meant lol. She was adorable (her English is not that good) and really wanted to feed me. I ended up having Grapes, 1 Peanut, Chicken Soup (he took all the noodles and carrots) and a small salad^_^^_^^_^

5/15 - We got up early and headed to Virginia Beach. His mom had made us sandwiches which I had feed him and myself. She used whole wheat bread and I was only able to eat 1/4 (1 hour later the rumbles lol). He had his first trip to Wawa lol. He was sooo amazed:51_scream:. He had never been there before and just could not believe all that awesomeness was in 1 store lol. We sang along to the radio and did our usual conversations about life and goals. We got a ticket right before the bridge for speeding<_<. Once we made it to the hotel, I handled check in while he got the bags out of the car. He decided to go put the bags in our room while I roamed around the hotel. Once I went up to the room, I saw two match pillows. He had gotten us both pillows with our First initial on it with our favorite color:lol:. He is such a romantic. That night I ate turkey and lettuce roll ups (I was afraid to try something new - did not want to get sick).

5/16 - We woke up and hit the gym. It was cardio day for me, while it was his lifting day and he was working on arms. For breakfast I had 1 egg, 3 pineapples, 6 blueberries and I was full. We went to the beach in which we had snacks. Apparently, Tositos and Salsa, I can eat a lot of. I was not paying attention as I mindlessly stuffed my face with the scoops and salsa. I ended up getting a lot (30-40 scoops) in which he had to take the bag away. The moment he removed the bag, I felt the restriction in my stomach. I had eaten too much and needed purge. I made it to the boardwalk and was bent over a garbage can puking my soul out:(. Once I was done I felt better. We went up stairs and I took a nap (after brushing my teeth of course lol). I felt better so we went to the amusement park. He got on all the rides while I had a mini panic attack each time the ride started. I did not have dinner. I wanted the Tositos but he had thrown them away.

5/17 - Woke up and went to the pool. We did laps and we time each other, trying to beat our personal best. I had scrambled eggs (no cheese) and 2 strawberries. For lunch we went to a dinner. I had a grilled chicken salad (they brought out breaded chicken :51_scream:), feeling bad because the guy look like he had a bad day, I just ate it. Nothing bad happened, I found out that they do not fry their breaded chicken but microwave it lol. Hey its whatever. We went bike riding along the boardwalk. He did most of the pedaling lol. Do not judge me, It is harder than it looks. For dinner, we went to a restaurant and I had watermelon (was not interested with the foods on the menu). I ended up having turkey, lettuce roll ups again. We sat on the balcony and just watched the sun go down and watch the people below as we talked.

5/18 - I decided to do the bike. The level was performance and it kicked my butt with a 20 minute work out. He worked on Abs and Obliques. It was fun working out together because I would be cheering him on during the hard parts of his workout and he would be cheering me on during the hard parts of mines. He was really proud of me. We ate breakfast and I had scrambled eggs, half of a biscuit. I did not finish any of it. I felt light headed and had vertigo. He asked me if I had taken my vitamins and I remembered that I had not taken them since Saturday. I figured maybe it was a deficiency because my water intake was excellent and he made sure of that. Upon taking some of my vitamins, I started feeling a lot better. Unfortunately, we had to head home. We did not want to go but we had too. It was the first time we had been on vacation together and it was amazing. He dropped the,  "I love you" saying and I kept saying:), "Awww you Nub me"B). He just laughed. BEST VACATION EVER:D!!!

5/19 - Only had a protein shake this morning. It is wayyyyyyy tooo hot to want to eat. I have been drinking water all day. Took my vitamins and I feel like I am getting better. I am making a eggplant lasagna for meal prep this week. To be honest, it is soo hot that I did not measure any thing. I am sure the calories are going to be higher than they should so I am prepared for that.

@Newme17 and @Sweet as peaches I hope your recoveries are going well!!!:1313_thumbsup_tone4:

Well that is the update. Sorry so long.

  2. Sleeved this past Monday. The first 24 hours were just awful but normal, I guess. Got way better yesterday. I decided to stay the one extra night. Ins paid for it and I wanted to use what attention I could get medically and have a small break before heading home to three young girls. Lol. The incision site where they stiched my muscle, is very sensitive and hurts when I cough/laugh, so I'm looking to get a smaller binder to help put some pressure on it. Gas pain wasn't too bad, just burped everything out. Overall, I feel pretty good. Could use a nap though. Just waiting for my discharge papers. 😊

  3. Happy Mother's Day to all you great, wonderful, finally putting your health in front, mom's!!!! :D

  4. 5/12 - Took my dog buddy (nickname: Rasta Scoobs) to the groomers. I spent most of the time talking with my bestie Bitty (Brittany). She is my hetero-life mate. She has been on this strict diet program for over a year and have lost over 100 lbs. I am soo proud of her because she achieved something that was very hard for her to do. She made correlation between her diet and my surgery that made me laugh. She, "We both have to eat low carb, high protein, smaller plate diets with exercise and the possibility of weight regain. The only difference is, you are physically forced to eat smaller." Lol. I was trying on bathing suites and sending her pictures and she is the most honest person I know. She is like your tummy is going down!! But girl that bathing suite does not suite you lol. Drank a ton of water. I am starting to feel energetic. I think I was dehydrated.

  5. 5/10 - When to the gym before work to get in a 1 workout. The trainer is cool, she is really into auras and energy. Of course I find out my energy is all wrong. I need to become one with my inner self and she said I needed to get a massage to loosen up my muscles. I am a tense person physically. Overall, relieved a lot of stress. The personal trainer is like a mixture of a zen person with massive knowledge of working out. It's actually not bad. She is a beast and pushes you. The nice part is the first 15 minutes is just meditation and stretching. She gets your muscles ready. Her stretches are equal to a full workout for me lol. I was already sweating and asking or water. Had liquids all day. Protein shakes and water. I was really behind on the water part.

5/11 - Made Pesto Chicken. Does not sit well in my sleeve at all. Gave me the rumbly in my tumbly. Had a half of protein shake. I was not very hungry today. Made catfish and did not like it either, actually dumped. Hello Fresh is not the option, cancelling the subscription. It is not them, I just keep looking at their recipes and it is high in carbs and calories and I just do not think now is the time to be adventurous with food. After trying 2 meals and getting sick twice in one day, really threw my plans off. Silver lining, laid in bed and just slept.

  8. Well thank goodness...I thought it was pre-op diet day 8, but it's really 9.  So, today went just ok again.  Will be busy tomorrow so I need to make sure I have stuff handy while I'm out and about.  I've noticed I've been on edge with my kids, hubby, work, and all the posts about genepro, stalls, and stretching the sleeve...doing my best to contain myself.  I know most of it is in my head, cause my body is being sustained with something at least.  Sucks to not eat a regular healthy meal, but hey, it's all for my health and it's temporary. I think I'll take a break tomorrow from logging in...I need to breath.  :)

Ya'll have a blessed night and great day tomorrow!

  9. 5/9 - It was a decent day. I cannot complain. I decided to focus on liquids. Just protein shakes and water. I felt like I needed more water than anything else. Saw the gym at the new building, it is amazing. Personal trainer and all. I will be signing up once I am back from vacation, I will be able to do a lot of workout stuff.

  11. 5/8 - I went shopping to purchase two pairs of pants and a bathing suit for VA Beach. Well nothing fit properly. Everything looked awkward and made me uncomfortable. The one bathing suit that fit made me look like a huge fruit cup. I just felt defeated at that point. I did get some cute sandals though.

So I came into work today. To be blamed for another persons behavior. Go figures:rolleyes: My GM stated that my discussion with the night manager caused the issue to escalate. That me having a discussion of roll over caused the person to behave the way they did and I was supposed to deescalate the situation. So I said to her, "So when he threatened me with physical violence, I was supposed to just take it?" She got quiet and stating that I am creating a hostile work environment. I just looked at her dumb founded. I have already sent and email to HR regarding this person previously and I sent another one detailing the conversation including the one with the GM.

  12. Day 7 pre-op:

So much easier when I've got work/routine. The weekend was brutal but I made it through. I've got a busy week, so hopefully it'll fly by.

  13. 5/6 - Woke up bruised and sore from my gym incident. I just went to work and minded my business. I was not really in the mood for people. Nothing special happened.

5/7 - Got into it with an employee. He got in my face and that was it. My manager had to get involved. He really pushed my buttons. I repeatedly said that I was not talking about him. I was having a discussion with my manager in regards to call roll overs and this idiot decided to interject himself. He is not a Supervisor. He felt as though I was speaking about him when I was speaking about a fellow Supervisor (He is not even a permanent employee. He is seasonal). I advised him 6 times that I was not and then told him to go back to work and do his job. He then got up and got in my face. I told my Manager that this is the second time he has done that and he cannot come back here next year for the season. I told my Manager, I will be nice and work with him for the remaining time that they are here but I will be sending an email to HR. This the last time he will be able to do that. My Manager was very understanding, noting that I am not an aggressive person. Everyone who works with me knows that I am the best person to work for. I like having fun and joking around.

  16. 5/5 - I cooked my asparagus, provolone stuffed chicken. I added a picture. I went to the gym (crunch-his gym) with my boyfriend and embarrassed myself. There was a huge dude, built like Arnold Schwarzenegger in his younger years. I was thinking how does he wipe his butt lol. I kept staring at him. I ended up tripping over my own feet and flew off the treadmill into the back wall. I have some scrapes and soreness but I am good. My bf got me a ice pack and proceeded to scold me for staring. He said, "That's what you get for staring at people and not focusing." I said, "Can you blame me? I have never seen someone that huge in my entire life." He just laughed. He checked my head to make sure that I did not hit it. He then took me to Red Mango so I could some frozen yogurt on my bruised ego.

  17. Day 6 Pre-Op:

Hardest so far because it's the weekend. Family wanted tacos this morning and I couldn't have one. But I did well despite my feelings. Stayed very busy today. Got home from visiting with a new friend who will be having the sleeve too. Now I'm super tired.

Starbucks...I saw this on Pinterest. I got a tall two decaf espresso shots over ice and poured about 1/2 of a Snickerdoodle protein drink in it. It was soooo good! Next time I'll use a Pumpkin spice one. 😊 Yum!

  19. 5/2 - Busy day at work. Purchased a naked burrito with no rice. I had extra chicken, guacamole, lettuce and beans. It was the best I have ever had. Went to the gym. I walked on the treadmill for 30 minutes and then got on the bikes for 30 minutes. All a light workout.

5/3 - Ate the second half of the naked burrito lol Nothing out of the ordinary happened.

5/4 - Was a lazy day. I slept in and only went outside to walk my dog lol. I seriously ate 1/2 lb of turkey in bed lol. I still managed to walk a lot. I take my dog for walks around the block. I snacked on it all day. Thats all I ate. Thats all I wanted. I had 70 oz of water as well.

  20. Day #4 of 14 PRE-OP DIET

My day started at 12:38 am (thankfully I went back to sleep)....I was jolted awake by a bang on/in our house.  I looked over towards the living area and I see flashes of light going on.  I instantly reached for my gun, but it was so dark, I ended up knocking over some essential oils.  Finally got it and took the safety off.  I'm walking with it down, ready to shoot if I need to.  I kept seeing the flashes of light.  So, just as when I turn the corner, a huge sound of THUNDER happened, and then lighting flashed everywhere!!!  BAHAHAHAJAJAJAJA!   It was a darn storm that came in.  SMH.  I texted my husband (he works nights) and told him what happened.  He LOL'd and says I need to practice with getting it out.  Well, at least I was ready to shoot if I had to.  Ain't no body coming in my house uninvited, ya'll.  Newme17's got a gun!

Ok, so the diet..... way better than the first three days.  It's almost to the point that I can care less about food anymore.  My family cooks something (in the microwave--renovation still on; or eat food out) and it might smell good, but I'm not wanting it.  I've found that I've been craving chicken broth most of the time; it hits the spot for me .  I love to drink hot liquids too, so I take advantage of the decaf coffee I can have too.  So, did all of my liquids/protein today, had 2 cups of salad, with 4oz chicken breast, and 1 tbsp. light dressing.  I don't care for much dressing on salads anyway, so when I actually measured a tbsp, I was proud of myself, because that's about how much I've always put on salads.  :) Go me!

Should just get easier....I've got this down.  Oh...best part, my jeans went on like butter today.  No sucking, pulling, pushing to get them on.  Yay!

  21. I'm at the admitting getting my pre-op lab and registration done. So, I was all excited that my copay was $497. I totally forgot about the hospital bill...lol. $1700. Lol. Oh well. Paid it and now waiting to do lab work. hungry too.

  22. Why when are trying to be good a new commercial pop-ups making you want to slather your face in whatever they are selling? Like lil Caesar pizza

  24. Pre-op Diet Day #2

Well, I'm tired and hurting and hungry.  I was going to post an update earlier, but ended up having to help my husband with a couple of wall cabinets that he's installing.  Turned out to be a bit of a challenge.  (Old house, uneven walls).  I'm ready for bed, took a Benadryl because these allergies are acting up. I won't be able to take anything after Friday, but Tylenol, which I will be taking for my now, new, re-injured shoulder.  Ugh.  If I lift heavy, move it certain ways, it's killing me afterwards.  Even now as I type, so I'm leaving it short as possible.

Today, I did well.  I followed everything precisely again.  I wanted to get creative for my one meal, but, well, I don't have a kitchen to cook.  So, I just ate some more shrimp with broccoli and cauliflower.  If I had time, or more time, I'll try to find something else other than what I ate for two days in a row.  Does anyone have any ideas? I think would have just been easier to do all liquids for me.  Maybe I'll get some seasoned chicken breasts that's already cooked in the frozen section tomorrow.

I'm hungry and going to bed as so.  Goodnight ya'll.  :68_sleeping:

  25. Pre-op diet day #3

its getting easier. Still hungry a bit but manageable. I love BP chicken bouillon. Probably my favorite broth that I've had and it's an unlimited choice for me. But I limit it still, I don't want to get sick of it. Let's hope tomorrow is even better.
