BT816 got a reaction from sleevedshereen in I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)
I'll post a "before & during" pic since I'm four months post-op today and have about 50 lbs. left to hit my initial goal. Before picture is from January 2017, the during is from a week ago. First time I had put on decent clothes in a while, I had to run to J.C. Penney to pick up a cheap pair of slacks and dress shirt since I plan on dropping a few more sizes.

I can proudly say that I now fit into size 36 pants.
Before my sleeve surgery in November 2016 I wore size 60.
I am beyond ecstatic. Down 240 pounds so far.....

This is awesome, Mike, way to go! I just signed up for my first trail half marathon, it's the first weekend in October. I did a road half marathon last month, but I love hiking and I'm way more interested in doing more trail running than road. Love all the pics, keep up the great work!

Been soaking a T-shirt a day from cardio & lifting weights twice a week. They’re turning into nightgowns. I’m in DECLINE mode! Just Bust a Move!

I found the Kirkland brand stool softeners worked fairly well. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I had to cut my run short this morning and walk the last mile home with my cheeks clenched for dear life. Of course, I can go a few days without a BM and then it hits at the absolute worst time. Now, that was stressful!

BT816 got a reaction from Mattymatt in Question for the Men. Help me out here guys.
I'm almost always in the 1200-1500 range right now at nine months post-op. My dietitian increased my calorie intake a bit following my six-month follow-up visit based on my increased ability to exercise. Typically, I'll hit 100-110g Protein and I'm not perfect so my calorie count does include a cookie now and then. At this point I'm running ~4 hours a week and doing strength training 2-3 times a week, so I try to stay closer to 1500 cal/day. Weight-loss wise, I've shed about 85% of my excess weight (225 being my initial goal, but looking at myself at 243 right now I think I should aim for something lower than 225) so I am only losing a pound or two a week right now. That's the way it goes so I'm fine with that, have still seen difference in measurements & clothes fitting over the past few months despite the slower weight loss.

Oh snap, thanks for the heads up on the Sam's sale! It's already a good deal at the $16.99 or whatever they are normally, but I'll be loading up at $12.99! I think the last ones I got had a Feb. 2019 expiration so I can store up. I might have to go this evening and avoid the Saturday morning crowd.

I was in a (costume) wedding yesterday and it was the first time ever where I didn't hate every picture taken of me and in fact I like most of them! This time last year I was on a trip to Chicago so I've been getting Facebook memory notifications too, so I thought I'd post some pictures of me from one year ago and then some from last night.
I'm making that face in the before picture because I was "displeased" that my mom was making me take a sweatshirt on our day out because the temperature was 40*F. Now I am freezing at 50*F but I don't mind it because I love being cold.

I've had a couple of the individual sized bags of Skinny Pop, no issues at all. My only mental problem was briefly wishing I had a nice Diet Dr. Pepper to wash it down, but that passed quickly.

So I'm almost a year out (11/21/2016) and I'm about 105 pounds down.
My weight loss has slowed now, probably to about 2-3 pounds a month since June (as expected), but it's still happening and I've now started to be more active -- Tennis, swimming... I feel terrific and as you can see, there's a radical change. I'd like to lose another 20-30 pounds, but I'm going to do that with more exercise.
The first picture is a before and after of my face. Then there's some full body shots, or close to full body. Just to give you an idea of how radical this change was, prior to surgery, I was the following:
358 pounds and a 50/52 inch waist size.
    Today
    249 pounds and a 38 waist size
For me, personally, I'm back to where I was when I was in my late 20's, I'm 52 years old now. Health? I feel amazing, more energy, more sleep, more life.
Hopefully, this will inspire people. I know when I saw the pictures of people who made progress, I got inspired.
