I also use Baritastic and like it. I know a lot of other people who use MyFitnessPal and say it's good.

KDBaker reacted to The New Kel in Guilt Free Peppermint Mocha! yasssssss
A guilty pleasure of mine before weight loss was Starbuck's Peppermint Mocha. But it's freaking LOADED with sugar. Here are two recipes to get your fix on without the unnecessary sugar!

The "At home and have a little time" recipe:
    Ingredients:
1 Tablespoons cocao powder 2 tsp sweetener of your choice (I use Stevia) 6 ounces whole milk (or coconut milk) 2 ounces strong brewed coffee or regular, organic coffee a splash of peppermint extract (just a couple drops) 2 Tablespoons whipped cream (from the carton- whip with a sprinkle of no-calorie sweetener)
Whisk together milk, cocoa powder and sweetenerin a small saucepan over medium heat. When milk begins to steam take off of heat and pour into a mug. Add the coffee and splash of peppermint extract. Optional:Top with a large dollop of whipped cream.

    The "Quick & Dirty" recipe
Buy a bottle of sugar free hershey's chocolate Syrup, and add a teaspoon of peppermint extract, then shake well. This is your base for your mochas, so you just keep in in your fridge. Brew your coffee (or, buy a plain cup from your favorite place ) and squeeze a tablespoon or so of the hershey's syrup base into the coffee and stir. Add milk or cream to taste. Enjoy!
I have the bottle of hersheys with peppermint at my work office in the fridge, so I just add it to my coffee.

KDBaker got a reaction from Sosewsue61 in 3 weeks out
I'm a little more than 3 weeks out now and back to work. I had a great routine while I was at home. I had a regular eating schedule. I was walking 30 minutes a day. Now that I'm back at work I'm struggling to get into a good pattern and I have no energy to get out and walk. Trying to be patient with myself but it's frustrating!
I also seem to have hit that 3rd week stall.
Ok. Done whining now. Thanks for letting me get that out!

I got some different Vitamins. I don't want feeling sick afterward to deter me from taking them. Let's see how Centrum treats me.

Anyone else having trouble with their Multivitamin? It was fine for the first week or two, but for the past few days, I've been feeling sick after I take it. It's just a Celebrate chewable multivitamin with Iron.
    Any advice?

My doctor said both are fine as tolerated. I've been using a straw since about 12 weeks post op with no issues and have been able to tolerate carbonation with no issue as of about 6 months post op. I drink seltzer and will occasionally have a diet Pepsi as a treat. I'm also 10 months post op and 10ish pounds from goal.

I've been told no to the carbonation but yes to the straw. My doctor and dietician both told me that straws are safe a few weeks out from surgery.

THAT is a great question! Lets throw in Thanksgiving (in USA) as well. How did it go? Did people pressure you? Did you cook? Did family support your weight loss? Etc...

I am just curious , as it will be my first christmas post weightloss surgery I will be about 5 months post, I am wondering what it will be like?
Right now I am not interested in food much but every now and again I miss being able to over indulge lol. Luckily I am allowed to drink alcohol on my plan so that will not be so bad haha. ( I am not even into it when I used to love it lol)
I am worried to people gain weight over christmas lol ?

What was your portion sizes like, would love to see christmas food portions lol

When I was discharged from the hospital, the doctor told me to alternate Tylenol and Ibuprofen to manage the pain but to get off the Ibuprofen as soon as I felt I didn't need it. I'm actually hoping to get off it today.

My last day of work before the big day Monday morning, check in at 8AM. I am on full liquids tomorrow, and clear on Sunday. Still have to pack, but mentally trying to prepare myself. I know there are a few active folks on here with the same date, so let's talk about how we feel as they day approaches!

As I type this, I am on my way to my final pre-op appointment with my surgeon and my surgery is on Monday.
Ladies and gentlemen, I have been researching this for a few years. I know what to expect. I've followed my pre-op diet to the letter and I've even lost some weight. So why on earth am I so nervous right now? My heart feels like it's going to beat out of my chest.

Mine's October 16th in Boston. I'm halfway through my pre-op diet now. I'm not having as hard a time as I thought I would, but I can also eat. Only things I can't have are starches, caffeine (ok that one is hard), carbonated beverages (even harder than the caffeine), and alcohol.

Knitting is one hobby for me that keeps me out of food. I can't eat if my hands are busy! It's also kind of meditative, so it's good for me when I'm feeling anxious or panicky (which is like....75% of the time). I'm also starting an Etsy shop to sell some of the things I make.
