  1. Alright everyone, here we go again! Please be patient with my updates on the spreadsheet as I have a lot going on.
This challenge will run from August 25, 2017 to October 20, 2017. This will give us a total of 9 weigh ins. I will do my best to post to the spreadsheet within 1 - 2 day of receiving your weight but I am going to be in 5 classes and working 2 jobs so if it takes me a few extra days I am sorry but I WILL have it updated as soon as possible!! Please note that I will recalculate the figures as soon as I can following the Friday weigh in - so your weight percentages may be a little off...
I have made these Friday weigh ins because that will allow us to start as soon as possible. You may post your weight at anytime during the week if Friday is not your weigh in day!

This challenge is for everyone. If you are pre op, post op, in maintenance or looking for some accountability; this challenge is for you! The rules and link to the spreadsheet are below!

    Procedures:
Please Post Your Starting Weight (Weight on or around August 25th) and Goal Weight (what you would like to weigh at the end of the challenge) at the start of the challenge on August 25, 2017. Remember this goal weight is only for the end of the challenge, not your ending goal weight!!
You can cut/paste this below and fill it in on your post -

    4. If you miss 2 or more weigh ins, I will assume you no longer want to participate and your name will be removed from the spreadsheet.
    5. If you miss a weigh in on Friday, no problem. Just post it asap.
    6. We are all here to support each other, if you post a question anyone can answer.
    7. You will know your weight is updated on the spreadsheet once I've liked your post!

  2. Hello! The questions I have...
    1. At a year out, what does your diet look like?
      1. Do you find your diet is still restricted as to certain foods? Do you still drink Protein Shakes?
    2. What about your exercise routine?
    3. Did you do anything special to minimize the possibility of excess skin?
    4. How do you feel?
Congrats on the amazing weight loss, it's truly inspirational! I hope you are living the life you wanted and DESERVE [emoji4]

  3. Finally broke the 100lbs mark. Down 102 and still going. Working out 6 days a week 1-3 hrs a day depending on the classes that are offered. Trying to increase Water intake. I’ve never been able to do a gallon a day. Still doing low carb but have add more carbs to my diet. Doing Herbalife shakes , teas and liftoff tablets for energy. Starting taking Ginko Biloba for metal alertness. I feel fuzzy brain at times. Did Iron infusions back last summer have been doing pretty well since

  4. Surgery January 11th 2017
    HW 138 kg (304lbs)
    SW 127 kg (280lbs)
    CW 75 kg (165lbs)
Love my life!!! I have gotten so much more energy. No food is of limits (some food is off limits sometimes). I have switched from the wish to become smaller and less towards working to become more. I have found an amazing bodypositivity community out there that I believe will help me maintain this positive world view :-) Self love is so important.

Awesome job!! Keep up the good work!!

  5. I think you should do whatever you want to do as long as it's under doctor supervision. Your body, your health.
I'm 4 years out, and what newer post ops don't seem to understand is that the benefits of the surgery wanes after time. I am hungry again. I can eat 12 oz of food on one sitting, and can eat again literally 10 minutes later. Snacking and grazing start to creep back in, and our bodies fight to get back to fat as our metabolisms start normalizing again. Statistically, around year 3 and 4 is when regain starts to happen for those reasons.
After gaining around 10 pounds, I am considering phentermine just to get me back on track and give me a "jump start" of sorts. After that, I'll take it from there again.
I look at weight loss drugs as just another tool we can use in this never ending fight against obesity, and find it ironic that people who have chosen to change their internal anatomy to lose weight look down on weight loss drugs.
The further out we get, the harder it is to tow the line because frankly the surgery is less effective. Even after changing our eating and exercise habits, sometimes we still need a little extra help to win the battle. Nothing wrong with that.
    You do you.

    Good info. Thanks

  6. I dont understand how you stay under 50 carbs a day but dont track macros.
    Protein x4 + Carbohydrates x4 + Fat x9 = total calories
Im not saying become a nutrition freak by any means, but learning about macros is basically nutrition 101, and imo is more important than everything else in nutrition combined (although having a balanced diet and micro nutrients are important too, I think the macros is far more important)

I’ve tried the whole macros but honestly don’t understand it. It’s confusing to me. I wish I understood it better but it’s Easier for me to just count carbs

  7. Hello all! Only 45 days left till Christmas....yikes!!!!
Our awesome fellow WLS champion DashofPixieDust8 is passing the baton to me to run this challenge, as she has a LOT going on right now! I have soooo appreciated all the time and effort she has put into challenges. Soooooo....are we ready for the Holiday Challenge?
I know for me personally, I really need accountability and encouragement around the holidays. It's way too easy to get off track with the goodies, parties and festivities. So to help us stay on track as much as possible and to reach some goals, I think a Holiday Challenge is in order!
Basically, the rules are exactly the same as DashofPixieDust8 has been posting in previous challenges. The only thing is that I cannot give out prizes. I'm sorry- I know, I'm a scrooge! No, I'm really not, it's just that I can't commit to buying prizes at this time, however, reaching or even exceeding our goals is rewarding enough, right? ;-) Slight change to note: We will have Wednesday Weigh-ins.

This challenge will run from Wednesday, November 15th (beginning weight and goals posted) to January 10th (last weigh in). I will do my best to post to the spreadsheet within 1 - 2 day of receiving your weight. I will recalculate the figures as soon as I can following the Wednesday weigh in . You may post your weight at any time during the week if Wednesday is not your weigh in day!

This challenge is for everyone. If you are pre-op, post op, in maintenance or looking for some accountability; no matter if you are sleeve, band, rny, bypass, all are welcome- this challenge is for you!

    Procedures:
Please Post Your Starting Weight between today and November 15th and Goal Weight (what you would like to weigh at the end of the 9 week challenge).

You can cut/paste this below and fill it in on your post -

    Goal Weight:
    Current Weight:

Are you gonna do a spring Challenge? We’d love for you to. Thanks

  8. Spring into life!
    Spring into action

Drop it like it's hot! Spring/Summer slimdown. Im totally down for another challenge! Although I like Monday weigh-ins better than wednesdays.

Right I never could remember those Wednesday weight ins. Monday or Friday always good. I Like those names. Who started the challenges? We need to tag them in this to see if they up to doing it again

  9. Show me 4 days of your current diet. [emoji4]
Phentermine can cause primary pulmonary hypertension among other dreaded cardiac related diseases. My dad died of it. It's heartbreaking disease with a one-way outcome. Just sayin'.
    Crack is whack.
    (OK, just read above)
    1. Dump all the [mention=216224]jenn1[/mention] and [mention=252425]BigViffer[/mention] and others about this!! They're phenomenal athletes! And should you want to discuss the finer points of channel surfing and couch potatoing, look me up! [emoji3]

You lost me but.... ok [emoji23][emoji23]

  10. Nothing really new to report on my end. Did the low carb thing again and didn't really see any changes. Back to the usual diet again. Don't think I'm going to see the scale move anytime soon unless I can get my not as big as it used to be ass back outside and walking on a regular basis. It's in the mid 30s today so feels like a heat wave! Hoping my upcoming job change will see me being more active again and help get things moving.

Keep it up. Don’t give up.

  11. More importantly what are your stats, exercise routine, macros, and how are you measuring tracking your macros?

These are all the first things you should be looking at (except stats which just gives the rest of us perspective)

Exercise 5-7 days a week stay under 50 carbs a day track thru MyFitnessPal. Don’t track macros have tried but it’s confusing
