  3. I stopped at the library after work this afternoon to work on a paper that is due for a class I am taking. (working on my masters) An extremely attractive women in maybe her late 40's asked me if I would like to get a cup of coffee. I graciously declined and she handed me her number. Said she her company just transferred her to Dallas and she is way past the bar scene. Again, I declined (married for 17 years) but wow!!!! it did feel awesome to be noticed again.

    Motivation

I agree. Have your doctor check your blood work. Are you getting plenty of Water and walking in? I am ready to work out but still trying to just walk. My doctor pleaded with me to not try to do to much too fast. I coach track along with football in the fall and I am going to work out with my team starting in Feb. No way I could do that now just four weeks out.

    Hospital stay

My surgery was at 1pm. I was home by 7:30 pm that evening.
  10. I start my pureed phase tomorrow for the next two weeks. 1. My doctor said I could have a scrambled egg. Do I need to put the cooked scrambled egg in the blender? 2. I am also seeing a lot of people say they have re-fried Beans and cheese. Do I put that in the blender too? I'm on a roll with dumb questions that have probably been answered somewhere on this forum.... 3. I am assuming I will still need two Protein shakes to make sure I get all my protein in? 4. Do I put the greek yogurt in the blender? (May be one of the stupidest questions I have ever asked) Trying to make a daily menu before I go pick up stuff at the store. Can anyone share what a typical day in the puree phase looked like? Thanks for the help after you stop laughing.
  11. Started day one of pureed foods yesterday. It went well. Breakfast One scrambled egg with 1/2 teaspoon of cheese Snack Protein shake lunch 2 oz of pureed meatloaf with beef broth (brought my magic bullet to school) 1/4 cup of cauliflower bleneded Snack Protein Shake dinner 1/2 Cup of Refried Beans mixed with 1 teaspoon of cheese and 1 tablespoon of salsa Here is the deal, at lunch and dinner I felt like I could have consumed more, but I was not hungry. Will the sleeve give us some kind of sensation that says "hey, I have had enough"? I have a friend that has a band and I could tell when he ate too much. He would need to go vomit in the bathroom. Is there a definite sign with the sleeve that we are going to be in trouble? So far no issues with vomiting. That was my biggest fear with the procedure. I hate, hate, hate to throw up. Just want to make sure I know when my sleeve is "talking" to me.

    My story- Pre-op and on.

Good luck with your surgery. Just a few days away. These items came in very handy the first week after my surgery: sugar free Pop's. 2 -3 boxes Protein Water...I think I bought protein20. I also used Mio with my regular water so it would always have taste to it.

    I think I broke it

Good luck. Keep us posted on what ends up working.

  21. Being a high school teacher and a football coach I thought that I had a system that would work right through any potential of a stall. Work harder = better results. Well, I'm in the middle of 3 weeks post op and I have not lost anything the last 4 days. Even gained .2 during the stall. Added more Water and Protein (still in the liquid stage) and have been increasing walking times. There are probably a 1000+ posts talking about the 3 week stall and how it happens to 98% of us. SO.... here I am dealing with a stall. But the strangest thing happened this morning, pants that did not fit at the start of the week are now almost too loose! Not losing weight during the stall, but losing inches.......just like what all the vets said.

  24. I am traveling for work the next two weekends. (ugh...i hate hotels) I start the pureed stage on Thursday for two weeks. Any suggestions on how to stay on track while on the road. I am packing a bunch of Protein shakes and protein Water, but need some quick options since I will not have a blender with me. Thanks for any suggestions.
