Oh boy. I won’t be of much help with how much I can eat or what I now weigh or anything to do with a scale. Lol. Never was one to measure foods or my weight. So I can’t honestly tell you. BUT, I can eat a chopped salad with black Beans, (eyeballing here) maybe 1-1.5 cups? I have just given up on numbers all together, but WHEN I eat is still on my mind. I still deal with mindless eating, so I need to be restricted to timing and of course drinking more Water. 😉

Thus you choose the right nutrient foods and take your supplements.
Our bodies can do a whole lot more than what we give it credit for, and besides it’s not forever that you won’t get your calories in.
IN MY OPINION....eating just because it’s time is setting yourself back up for overeating, mindless eating. So I stand by the instructions I was given and I’ve been successful. I don’t have a lack of anything, Vitamins nor Protein (shocking!!! And I don’t eat meat!!! Gasp!!! Close your mouths). So, I must be an exception. Smh.

Probably best to ask a nurse/doctor, but I take Benadryl, but I’m also a year and 4 months out though. Hope you can, those pesky mosquitos are a pain!
benadryl also has a topical gel for itches. I use that too. 😊

My surgeon says “Only when you’re truly hungry”. Just because it’s “breakfast” time doesn’t mean you should eat. Eat when your body says you’re hungry. Your Breakfast (breaking your fast) might be at 1pm. Who knows? Why eat more than your body is requiring? This is mindless eating, I know, because I struggle with it even now.

@FluffyChix wow wee lady, I’m happy to see you’re going strong! Been a long time since I’ve logged in. Glad to see an IF thread that is pretty active too. Based on how much I can eat (which is way more now that I’m 1 yr and 4mo out), doing IF is definitely easier. Trick for me is a cup of coffee in the mornings and lots of Water. I’ll do my utmost best to chime in and share, but I won’t promise I’ll be by most everyday like I used to. 😂
Blessings to all of you doing IF. It’s a great lifestyle to adapt. Not about what you eat (which of course we need to be mindful) but of when to eat. Happy IF-ing!!!

I agree, I've been researching, got the same book, did a 3 day fast already. My eczema cleared quite a bit, my skin looked great, my arthritis called down a LOT. It was good, I will be doing it again
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-J727A using BariatricPal mobile app
Research....good for you! I’m happy you’ve found successes.

@proudgrammy thank you hon! You crack me up about the age. Yes, I had to do something before all the problems started...unfortunately my mother’s obesity and her load of issues is what got me going, so I took something good out of it, for me. Anyway, thanks again hon.

Yay! I’m happy to report someone thought I was in my late 20’s not too long ago. I’ll take that!!! (Will be 40 this year!)

Thanks. I’m happy I stumbled on to Dr Garth Davis, and others whom shared Dr Weiner, and Dr McGregor with me, to go this way. Totally sustainable for me and I highly advise it. 😊

I just don't eat sugar, high glycemic carbs or processed foods. I eat very little animal fat.
This is my diet too...but no meats.

Hey y’all. It’s been slightly over a year since I had the sleeve. I’m 5’6”; my highest weight was 266 (size 20 pant, 2x tops), surgery weight was 259, and my current weight is 183. I currently wear size 12 pants, a large in tops (sometimes a medium) . Although I still have some lbs to go, I’m am VERY grateful and thankful for the surgery. I had the surgery for prevention purposes, had no complications either. I changed to a plant based diet and have been very happy and healthy with it. I take a multi Vitamin, Calcium, B12, and Probiotics. I walk and do some home strength workouts.
Thats just a tid bit of my journey, I hope it inspires and encourages others. Enjoy my before and after!

For sure. I’ve gotten kind of flabby not doing any strength exercises. No gym anymore so it’s up to me to stick to home workouts.

Let’s do it! I started off with the upping intake of Water. I’m going to also start with some kind of home workout today, blah....lol. The main thing is making sure I don’t go snacking on the wrong stuff.
if anyone else wants to jump in and do a 5 lb loss challenge, feel free to. If we start on the little goals, we’ll hit the bigger goal. Just 5 lbs!
Start now....lol

Oh Sweets, I’m so sorry and I’m equally happy for the success you’ve had and that your mom was very proud of you too. Keep on rocking it to make her even more proud then ever hon.

I've recently put on 12. Guess how many years out I am? Four . Right on schedule!
Thank you for that. I’ll guess adjust mine to 140 then, cause 160 is what I’m good with. Guess I’ve got 43 lbs to go! 😊

Did you not have any reflux up until the 3 rd year mark? Did you take PPI’s that whole time too? What kinds of foods do you eat?

Sweets! I was just reading our beginnings here and was thinking of you obviously. I’m happy to hear from you hon. You’ve lost a great deal, that’s great to hear, and you’re much healthier now for it. I hope sad moments turn to joy, because that’s what the Lord does, turns our mourning into gladness.
Many of us have gone off for a while, but I’m glad to hear from you all at the year mark. I’m trying to stay on more as well...need more motivation to get to goal and to stay consistent with my lifestyle diet.
I hope to hear from you more! Love ya hon!!!
