Tagalongs were my favorite. I could easily eat an entire box in one sitting. Just pace yourself and maybe have some milk. Sigh.... I wonder how I got here.
I was a girl scout and I have two boy scouts so I do support them. If any girl approaches me to buy Cookies, I will. However, this year, I will just donate to the Troops. Or buy a box and give it to a stranger.
I had the bypass so I'm assuming that I will dump if I eat any sugar. It's helping right now, but I'm only a month out. Next year will likely be harder for me on the cookie sales.

Oh, I had the hernia repair too. Turns out it was significant. Maybe that was the pain

If you live in Boston they are recruiting for this study. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02417974?term=crohn%27s+disease+and+fecal+transplant&rank=7

I think all of it is fascinating. I learned so much and feel it could really be the next big discoveries in medicine. I'm going to go read that paper now????
I really do wish you good health. Most people take it for granted.

Pain can and does cause high bp. If they brought your pain down, your bp should drop if that is the cause.

I'm four weeks out with rny. I'm still not hungry. It's a bit of an issue because I need to eat for some energy, but everything sounds horrible. It Wil get better. And I'm a third of my way to goal already.

Yeah, I ran out of pain meds by day 10. Sitting for any length of time was horrible. I was in so much pain. For me it was the big incision on the left side. Week one, hard to move, get out of bed or sit up. Week two, could roll over but still couldn't lay on my left side. Week three starting to lay on my left side. The pain came and went, but if I got tired I would hurt, or maybe I hurt because I was tired. Week four, I had a few days without pain, then overdid it, and was in pain. This week is no pain. It will get better.

I ultimately decided to do the Iron Patches to start with. Iron is hard on my stomach and I don't need anymore of that. I also subscribed to the Tessa. It's like a Vitamin keurig. I'll use that for my multi. It mixes liquid Vitamins, which absorb better. Anyway, I'll update after a few weeks.

So inspiring. You look great, and your skin doesn't show that there used to bring 140pounds in there. Beautiful.

Good to know. I have two more weeks until I can have either, but I really would like a few bites of steak.I just had a four ounce filet cooked medium rare, courtesy of yours truly! It took 2 sessions to finish, but it was delicious. No problems! It honestly goes down more easily than chicken.

Is there really any other way to eat it? I mean, why ruin a good steak by over cooking it????yep. I love steak. has to be cooked rare or medium-rare.

My reward is going to be hiking in colorado this summer with my kids. I won't be wearing my 100 pound "backpack" anymore, so I'm excited to do that and rafting. Both things I couldn't do last summer.

I agree. There was another thread on here about how we cheated by having surgery. Whatever, it's their ignorance. I honestly had that internal fight with myself on why I couldn't just lose weight on my own. I finally realized that I have, many times. But I always put it back, plus more. The stats are behind me on the surgery though.

I have heard that the Quest brand makes good Protein for baking.

for some odd reason, my sense of smell and taste are way overly sensitive. I can barely eat sugar free things (like a popsicle) because it is too strong.

I'm one month out and get about 600 calories per day on a good day. But, I've been struggling to get in my Protein. The shakes make me sick. The Isopure flavor is overwhelming. I hate the texture of unflavored Protein. I tried a Protein Bar and it took me 45 minutes to eat 1/2 of it.
Sigh.

Inspire ready made drinks will fill you up and give you lots of Protein. My nutritionist said the count as Clear Liquids. Also scout jelly. You just have to be able to see through it.

@@RunningWithScissors the pain block is real. I had my gall bladder out in Sept. Had the block, worked perfectly. No pain at all. Lovely. Had one for my bypass in Dec and it didn't work for me at all. Dr. Said they have no idea why it works for some and not all.
He did say the left incision is bad because it is the biggest, there are internal stitches, and lots of nerves in at area.

My doctor said to call immediately if that happened. That is a symptom of too much acid and or an ulcer. Not to be alarmist, but call. You don't want to end up with ulcers.

I hate zophran. It doesn't work for me and has horrible side effects. Ask you dr for phenegran It works so much better.
And I'm almost four weeks out. My side is still sore, but the pain lessens every week. That first week was horrible. The second week was bad after sitting for a while. Third week was a little better. Yesterday I had no pain, but it was back today. Those muscles have to heal. They cut through then, inserted a stapler, and had to stitch them back up.

I'm only a month out. it isn't so much what I eat, but how much. I am learning. There is no last bite. If my stomach says "I'm good". Stop. If I don't I'm miserable. I hate the nausea.
