  1. Well I was told the same thing about XL drugs too. I had a rnygb Nov 30th and it was a concern but I swallowed them post surgery in front of the PA and she was pretty amazed and they've lost none of their effectiveness! I take a very small dose of MS Contin for chronic pain which I am happy to report is going away just by virtue of weight loss!!! I'm cutting down on others as well like Lyrica and I'm finding I can live without the pain meds. Depression and anxiety is another story though! I still require those

  2. Mine was Nov 30th so practically December! I'm doing pretty good as far as compliance however just spoke to my surgeon's dietician about Soda and using too much Splenda and have redoubled my efforts and doing things the right way. Also since my first day of bariatric soft starts Christmas Eve I inquired about puréed prime rib cuz I didn't know if it was a lean meat. It is not but since I'm craving it with horseradish sauce she told me to bring some canned chicken chunks that u make chicken salad sandwiches with and combine it with a small amount of Horseradish

  3. Hi,

My name is Christine and I'm 14 days post Roux en y and of course my Dr says no carbonated drinks but I've had friends who have had this surgery and they say if u really want soda then just dilute the Diet Coke with 1/2 Water and ice. At first this sounded like really bad advice but I've tried it for the last 48 hours and have hard no issues. I'd like to hear what u guys have to say on the subject!!!

  4. Hi my name is Christine and I am 14 days post surgery from Roux en y gastric bypass surgery and my Dr told me pre surgery that I could flavor my food with Splenda however if u use a lot it can cause uncomfortable symptoms like nausea which I experienced this morning after morning coffee(decaf). Can anyone expand on this subject!!! It would be extremely helpful!!!
