  1. Hi all sooooo I have had WLS and have been on this forum since then. I am also on Instagram and there is someone I've been following for a while for weight loss inspiration. Well one day while on this forum i come across this person and see they were approved for surgery and had it done not to long ago. Now they are bragging about how they are losing weight on their own and doing this and that to lose this weight....this person is deceiving their followers!!!! This person also wants to organize a weigt loss program for people to pay them to instruct them how to lose weight like this person. They show off how much weight they are losing on their IG page and I dont think it's right!!!! If you had surgery to lose weight say so don't front like you did it on your own. You had assistance!! What gets me is the deceitfulness and how they are scheming people for money!!!!!

Would you expose that person or just leave it alone?

  2. Hi guys! So i wanted to find out from the veteran sleevers is pain and bruising normal 7 days postop.

The day of surgery my dr had to go back in and place a drain due to a hematoma i developed.

It was removed this past Wednesday. I have developed bruising where the drain was and its still painful. My stomach is also very swollen. Is this normal? Thank you in advance!

  4. Can anyone tell me why prior to surgery I was so adamant on trying to get approved for surgery. Now that my surgery is less than 4 days away..

    I am so nervous :(

I'm questioning everything now. It does not help either when you have people in your ear telling you, you need to think about what you're doing, or telling you NOT to do it!!! All these emotions..these negative people around me.

How do i retrain my thoughts? Tell the negative Nancy's to stop....????

    Any advice would be helpful.

    Thanks everyone.

  5. Yasss!!! I'm going thru that too!! My BMI is like 35 but I have health issues..all I'm hearing is "just work out you will lose weight" "why are you doing this".

I've been overweight all my life, I've tried every diet you could imagine!!! I need help!!!

You are not my body, keep your opinion to yourself!! Smh...so I know what you mean. It's so annoying.

  6. Also, I am serious, I am never ever, ever hungry. I had such a. Brain and stomach disconnect the first 3 or four days. I lost 14lbs and 3 inches so far. I had my hubby measure me before my pre-op liquid diet and I had him remeasure me two Sunday's ago. I have no cravings other than wanting raw veggies. Another interesting thing I am finding out is that the "sugar" free does not bother me and I actually like it. Its like after surgery its a reboot if what you like.

Thank you Carrie for that advice. In regards to yogurt did you have that post open? Or did you have to wait a week? That is a GREAT idea!!

  7. That's what I spent on mine. And the shakes U will need after as well for a few months and they r alittle pricey. I know some insurance will cover them.

My shakes (unjury) cost a little over a dollar a serving and they tasted pretty good too. I got the canisters instead of the packets.
The thing that I also don't like is the fact its powder form so I have to mix them. That is so inconvenient!!

Not really. You have lots more control of the texture. You them with raw juice and ice instead of milk and control the sweetness. And best of all you have the option of unflavored powder that you can mix with Soup, yogurt and cottage cottage cheese to boost the Protein without changing the taste.
Ok I will definitely try that..can I mix fruits with it? ????
