The purpose is to make sure you understand the risks and are informed of the drastic lifestyle changes needed to be successful.

Hi Mel. While I am not a lady, my sister and I both had the sleeve with duodenal switch. My sister got pregnant 18 months after surgery and successfully birthed a healthy baby girl.
Talk to your surgeon and weigh the options that are best for your goals.
As far as prenatal nutrition, as long as you follow your doctor's instructions, there is no reason why bariatric surgery would stop you from having a child. In fact, my surgeon told me that women have greater success with conception and delivery after surgery.
