TakingMilliBack got a reaction from heyvcom in I hate that I had this surgery
I understand how you feel. I was miserable, dizzy and when I would eat or drink everything tasted horrible. Made me throw up or feel like I was going to. Found out my stomach shrank due to the swelling and liquid diet. In addition, I was dehydrated and had to do 5 days of fluids :/ after that the headaches, nausea, stomach pain, and so much more started to go a away. I'm now 3.5 months PO and am feeling "normal" and much happier. Hope you get the care you need and start feeling better very soon.

Surgery 8/8/16. Im 82 lbs down. hubs and I decided to start trying for a second child since I'm at a healthier weight now and our lo is about to turn 6! It's been very busy and not a lot of time to make whoopy, but ONCE, but I'm late and JUST took and test TWO lines! I'm so nervous!!!!! I just happen to have an appointment with my OB next week to start the discussion, but welp, looks like God beat me too it. I don't know if I should tell hubs yet or wait until the dr next week? I'm nervous I'm not getting enough calories, or taking the right Vitamins. Omg she could keep going. Please help!!! Maybe the test is wrong????

I simply meant that by the time you are losing hair, whatever triggered the Hair loss took place months ago so there is nothing you can do *right now* to stop it.
The vast vast majority of WLS patients lose some hair. Some lose a lot of hair. There are so many attributing factors, that it's not really possible to predict how much hair you will lose or how long you will lose it for. The only things within your control are your nutritional intake, but that is just one small piece of the puzzle.
WLS have a quadruple whammy when it comes to hair loss. Anesthesia has been shown to cause hair loss. Rapid weight loss has been shown to cause hair loss. Stress and trauma have been shown to cause hair loss. And malnutrition has been shown to cause hair loss. WLS patients are usually subject to three or four of these.

I am in the same boat.. I was sleeved on 08/10/2016 and just found out I am 4 weeks and 5 days as well. I am super excited and a little worried too.. I read that someone my height and weight (5'9 188lbs) should be eating 2310 calories during the first trimester!! I can barely get past 1200 and that's really trying. I hope to meet with a nutritionist and get some clarification on how to eat and what.. Good luck!!

I'm not asking for sympathy, but you clearly misread the above. I got pregnant 7 months after my surgery... maybe before you post a response basically calling someone a liar, you should know what you're talking about...

Whenever I hear someone say that the surgery was "cheating" or the "easy way out" I just want to tell them
oh really, yeah because going to consultations with the surgeon, a psychologist, nutritionist, cardiologist, pulmonologist, hematologist, rheumatologist...then having numerous blood tests, ekgs, ultrasounds, xrays...then battling with insurance...then dealing with post op issues, not getting to eat the things you like, watching others carelessly shove food into their mouths, walking for half an hour when you have no energy...
oh yeah, that was really easy
