    you don't have to go to a gym although it is good to do so. get up 15 min earlier and do it before work as you will have more energy then. use your breaks at work to walk ( I walked the floors instead of outside.) I had 330 mi8n so I ate for 20 and then walked for 10 it all adds up. do chair exercises do some kind on indoor sport. even bowling is a start. exercise tapes are great and they modify them so you should be able to do one. dance to the music there are bands and balls to give you more options. yes I was sooooo tired but after a few weeks found my energy coming back when I started moving. we got this way because we over ate and under moved. it has to be a total lifestyle change if you are to lose the weight and more importantly keep it off.

    it is normal to stall at about5 3 weeks. it takes time for your body to catch up. TRY to relax and just follow the Water and Protein rules. good luck to you

    we all panic when we hit a stall which is what I think you have done. it is depressing but just keep up what you are doing because it all sounds like you are right on target with the food and exercise. try to read some of the old posts and look for non scale victories. those little hurdles will help when the scale does not move. good luck to you

    yes I lost several "friends" some were my eating buddies and they were not comfortable eating with me since I was eating healthy. some I lost because they no longer knew how to relate to the new me. I am more confident and have boundaries now that I never would have had the courage to have before my true friends who are happy for me and really love me whether I am big or small are still around and now I have several new friends from the support groups. when we eat out we really enjoy the food and the conversations and have no guilt or shame. just love. this may also happen with male relationships. I lost one guy because I was healthy now and no fun. I also had to come to grips with several guys who I had known for years who are now asking me out. I don't go because they never asked me before and the only thing that has changed is the outside. find new friends who love you just the way you are.

    these are the small rewards for sticking to your program. all newbies read this and look for these milestones when you get upset that the scale is not moving fast enough. I know now that I can wear any post style earring and my post will not pinch my ear so much it hurts and I can see my toes without bending over etc. love my rny

    we all panic when we hit a stall which is what I think you have done. it is depressing but just keep up what you are doing because it all sounds like you are right on target with the food and exercise. try to read some of the old posts and look for non scale victories. those little hurdles will help when the scale does not move. good luck to you

    dumping is when you eat too fast or too much. sometimes it can be eating something that you simply can not tolerate 'anymore my biggest problem is eating something sweet.( two or three bites and I begin to feel it and stop immediately so it is not too bad) can last for several min ( mine is usually about 20 min now that I know the signs to watch for when I first start to experience it and stop immediately) even several hours. great pain--sweating--nausea--shaky. some folks vomit but most don't. it is something you just have to ride out. I don't know of anything that will help it. it is one of the tools the pouch has of showing you what it needs or does not need and once you have dumped you will never want to again. prevention is the key. eat slowly chew chew chew follow the rules of eating monitor what you have just eaten and don't eat it again for a while.

    At 4 weeks post-op, your surgeon recommends that you get off the Protein shakes and try to get most of your Protein from meals. That might be difficult to do, maybe even impossible because your new stomach may not be able to tolerate it. When my stomach was healed sufficiently to consume solids, I basically relied on homemade high protein meals. I included some of the recipes that I used at the end of the following article, if you want to try them.     you did not mention what stage you are in and what is making you sick however I travel a lot and I keep tuna ( in the foil pks) in the car at all times. doesn't have to be refrigerated. also have a small cooler and have cheese sticks and my Protein Drink in it. I make some egg muffins and have them but would not trust them for a long time even in the cooler if you live in a warm area. in florida about two hours is all I trust them. there are the Protein Bars and Soups or broth if you have access to a microwave. I often us the ones at 7-11 and so far no one has said not to. good luck to you

    at 275 I was hot all the time and my head sweated the most and then my chest. always had a wet spot on my shirts. ugh. now I carry a sweater in the car at all time. I do still sweat but it is when I exercise lol best of luck to you

    I cant eat fruit but I got an infuser and put in fruit so my Water tastes more fruity so far it has not run my blood sugar up. good luck

    many of us have these also we are at higher risk of gall bladder issues and dental problems as well as bones since our food is malabsorbed we need to take all the Vitamins recommended and follow all directions. I have had several small issues and two surgeries in my 13 years since my rny. expect it but hope for the best this too shall pass it is still worth it every min.

    I use the unflavored powder all the time in Soups etc. mix it with a little Water and beat it to death so there are no lumps then slowly add the warm liquid to it while stirring the entire time. I usually do it in thirds wait a moment and then add more stirring the whole time. not many lumps that way.

    don't count on it. I am 13 years out and still freeze all the time. I have learned to layer and take my sweater with me at all times. movie theaters and food establishments keep it way too cold. having said that I have moved to sunny florida and only have about 5 or 6 days I have to wear shoes per winter. part of this is trying to keep it light but I do layer all the time and take the sweater with me in my car. good luck to you
