    Excited and nervous

That is so exciting! I can imagine and understand that you are nervous and unsure.. but honestly having your current loose skin removed will help SO much in your day to day life. I would say it's totally worth it to go ahead and do this now and once at goal to do the revision later! Not having the painful loose skin will make it easier for you to exercise and get around which will help you get to goal.. so I say go for it! No matter what you decide or what happens, I know you can do this and it is so awesome how far you have come in your journey so far! Congrats girlie
  2. @Jodygirl1982 You are doing awesome! I was sleeved 12/12/16. I have hit my big stall too.. I have been bouncing between the same 1-3 pounds for the last few weeks and it is sooooo frustrating. I know its part of the process its just hard when the scale just stops moving.... makes me scared I might stop losing anymore even though I know that is just my mind messing with me. I am only down about 43 pounds since the day of surgery, but down 63 total since I started the pre-op diet 2 weeks before. Just taking it a day at a time and trying to up my water intake and my exercise!

    Calcium citrate

Yes I couldn't do the chalky chewables either, but I have been using the Bariatric Advantage soft chews in Strawberry, and I love them! They are like starburst chews and the strawberry flavor is amazing. Just 1 idea to try! https://store.bariatricpal.com/collections/bariatric-vitamins/products/bariatric-advantage-calcium-citrate-chewy-bites-500mg-bag-of-90

Not Tracking your food is a big mistake!

Yes, I use the fitbit app to track all my food and the portions are customizable and you are able to add foods that are not already listed on there, or create new entries where you put in the info for meals you make at home and portion sizes. For me its the only way I stay on track and ensure I continue to lose and break stalls as well like others said. It has been working great for me and it REALLY keeps me accountable to physically be able to SEE what I'm doing and not just guess. To each their own, but I definitely recommend it to keep you on track especially in the beginning or if you find yourself getting off track! I have lost 60 pounds in 3 months and feel a lot of it is due to staying accountable, so do what works for you best!

You got this girl! Keep us updated on how its going!

    4 month stall?

I have found upping my water and exercise helps when the scale stops moving for me. But also just ensuring you are tracking everything you eat each day to help you see your macros/calorie intake and adjusting things from there as needed. Overall it sounds like you are doing good, just switch things up a bit and hopefully it will get to moving soon! I had a stall for over 2 weeks here recently, and I was so discouraged since im not quite 3 months out yet, but today I went down 1.5 pounds! You can do this!

    Birth Control

I didn't even think about asking my surgeon when I could get on birth control pot-op... ooops! He is SUPER hardcore about the whole, "No getting pregnant within 2 years of surgery" that it scared me and after about 6 weeks of healing post-op I went and got the Nexplanon arm implant so I wouldn't have to worry about remembering to take any pills or anything. I guess it is different though with the birth control pills, you want to make sure your stomach is healed enough and can properly break it down to be effective! But if you have ever considered the arm implant BC, I recommend it only because it lasts up to 3 years, and it really wasn't bad getting it put in! I bruised a bit afterwards, but that is normal for me! I am liking it so far.
  10. When you are able too, please update us on how you are doing! Thinking about you and hoping it all went well!

    Close To A Year Post-Op!

Amazing job! Congrats on your success
  12. I did the patches for the first month after surgery. The only complaint I have is that they didn't seem to stay on throughout the day like they should... like the adhesive wasn't strong enough so they would roll up by the end of the day. Not sure how much I got out of them, so I went ahead and switched to the vitamin chews for now until I am a little further out. Anyone have tips or suggestions on why they wouldn't stay on?? The directions said to put on parts of your body with little to no hair, so I would wear on my shoulders.

Thanks girl! Congrats on your amazing weight loss so far! You are rocking this!

    Exercise

Yes! I just started the last couple of weeks making it a regular thing, but its so hard for me to get motivated to go by myself! My sister usually goes with me since my husband works nights and I work days so we never see each other much. But this week my sister is out of town so I am accountable for myself and I have dropped the ball haha. Going to make myself go tonight because I know how important it is! I want to lose at least 14 more pounds by my anniversary trip in April so I gotta kick my butt in gear!

    Exercise

That is what I have been doing! I am just a little past 2 months out and do this same type of exercise each week. This week I have dropped the ball and only gone once so far, but I am going tonight, tomorrow, and Saturday so I can get it all in!

    Error code exo on photos

As far as photos go, I wanted to add a "before" picture to my profile like I have seen on other peoples, but when I go into the My Surgery section and go to photos, it only lets me upload photos to an album I can create.... not to the actual profile page section for the "before" photo. Can you please advise how I go about fixing this? I feel like I have looked in all the other settings and profile stuff but that is the only place I have found to add a photo but it wont let me add it to the profile page "before" section

    Peanut butter?

I am almost 2 months out and just had my first little JIF single cups with some apple slices and, at least for me, it went down fine! I know it isn't the healthiest thing to have so I definitely don't plan to eat it more than a couple times a month maybe, but luckily I have no issues with it! I am going to start adding the powdered Peanut Butter to my Protein shake for some variety and added protein count

    Hydration issues

That is good! The one thing I learned is to just always be honest and let them know when something is going on that isn't normal or seems off or is keeping you from meeting your daily nutrition goals. It can be rough in the beginning but just take it a day at a time and before you know it you will find your new "normal". I genuinely thought I would never eat again because I had a huge food aversion issue/nausea when I first started trying to eat again... but I went to the doctor a week or two later and found out I had a bad UTI, so got some antibiotics and all the nausea and dislike of food went away and I was able to start following my plan again (crazy huh?!). Probably about week 6 post-op is when I really started feeling good about things and was on full foods and able to get most of what I needed in. You got this just hang in there!

    Hydration issues

My doctor prescribed me heartburn meds, and from what I have read here and elsewhere heartburn is very common after surgery! So if you need to you might talk to your surgeon so that wont bug ya anymore But yes smart Water is great, the Powerade Zero's are good, even just crystal light flavored water. Hang in there and just do your best to make a conscious effort to drink slowly throughout the day and you will do just fine! Congrats!
  23. I haven't been on here lately, but I am happy to say that after a 2 week stall the scale is finally moving again and that feels good! I started working out last week and I have been getting my protein in daily as well as making sure I eat my 5 small meals a day. My water intake is still not all the way up to 64oz a day, but all things considered I am doing REALLY well. There was a 2.5 week period around week 4 post-op that I just couldn't make myself eat or drink anything and everything made me feel sick and grossed out, so after a visit to the doctor it turned out I had a severe UTI, and once I started my antibiotics the nausea went away and I was able to eat without feeling gross! So happy to say it DOES get better ya'll! You just have to hang in there and be sure to keep in touch with your doctor if you have any issues. I am almost 2 months out and I am so happy with my progress and how things have started to become my new "normal". Be blessed today!

Great news! I am also 2 months out! I have been on a recent stall also, I am hoping it will pass soon!

Yes! I say my stall broke finally, but after losing 2 pounds since my last stall, im not losing again HAHA. Oh this funny thing called weight loss... it's too bad we have no control over how we lose completely huh? I really am thinking I might need to MAKE myself really up my water intake. I am averaging probably about 45oz a day. It's been hard trying to eat my 5 meals a day with spacing out the drinking between, and getting my protein in... so I have been sacrificing some on the liquid intake to make sure I get the other stuff in. I will make that my focus this next week and see if that does the trick!

  24. Its so hard to believe I am already 2.5 weeks post-op! Still struggling to get everything in, but I just do my best and take it a day at a time. Started back at work today and it is going better than I thought it would. I find I am tired but not so bad that I need to go home so that is a plus to me!

  25. So I am now in the puree stage of my post-op eating regimen, but I am finding it incredibly difficult to eat anything. Now let me clarify that by saying the actual act of eating and keeping food down isn't what is hard... food still smells good and tastes good when I eat, but I just literally feel so grossed out while I am eating. I have been following my surgeons recommendations of not drinking 30 min before and after my meals, and I am taking tiny bites and making sure to spread it out over a good 20 minutes... but I just hate feeling like I am having to force myself to eat rather than enjoying that I get to eat. I am definitely not over eating my any means either and I never feel like I am satisfied after eating, but definitely too grossed out to eat a little more. I know it isn't too uncommon, but for any of ya'll who have experienced this or are feeling it now, how are you dealing? Will it get better soon? I'm just miserable and trying to get in all of the stuff my surgeon tells me too but it is feeling overwhelming and impossible.
