Status Updates posted by MowryRocks

  1. I don't ask for much...just to lose another 29lbs and to win Starbucks for life.  Is that so wrong?  ;)

  2. Trying to kick up the work outs since I am nearly 14 months out and have been stalled for dang near a month.  Started running hills last week...leaves me shaky afterwards, but more importantly...I hope the lbs start dropping again soon!

I just look for the statuses on the right and there is a bar above that says Update Status, but I am on a computer, so I don't know if it is different if you are on the app.

  5. It's my 11 month surgiversary!  I'm down 105lbs and I have 45lbs left to go.  My surgeon and I agreed on 150 as my stopping point today.  I was so excited to be one of his sleeve patients who have lost over 100lbs. I guess we are few and far between in his office.  Never looking back!

I feel good. I feel on my way. I feel like I finished one race and I'm at the starting line of another.

  6. I've been going to Planet Fitness 6 days a week for 3 months now.  I'm not sure if this place is amazing or if I'm just amazing in this place. ;)

So thankful for VSG and getting in the proper mind set,   I'm 100lbs down and running for a consecutive hour.  I never thought this life was possible.

  8. ANOTHER long stall finally behind  me.  I lost 2lbs in the last 4 days.  I am only 5 itty bitty pounds away from 100 lost.  My 10 month surgiversary is in 4 days.  100 in a year was all I ever wanted.

  9. Pulled the muscles in my chest wall again.  This time climbing during a hike.  I get so frustrated when this keeps me out of the gym for a few days.   Working so hard to build these muscles up so that this becomes less and less of a problem.  Any tips?

  10. They say "You can run, but you can't hide."  You know what?  If I hide, I can't run and NOTHING beats the feeling of the wind on my face!

  11. Wonderful Onederland!!!  My stall finally broke.  Saturday I was 199 and this morning I stepped on the scale habitually (I was going to wait a week to enjoy 199, hopefully  without seeing 200 creep back in there somehow) and I weighed 197.  Thanks for all the support and assistance getting me through what was one of the most emotionally painful stalls, EVER!!!!

Thanks guys! It feels great. Keeping my eye on the prize. My surgeon wants me to lose another 15, I want to be in a normal BMI range so that is 67lbs away. We'll see what feels right and I'm sure I'll settle in somewhere in between that.

      That is fantastic news!! Congratulations!!!

  12. I'll be 9 months post op this week, 90lbs down.  I've been stalled at 200lbs since 07/01/2017, just waiting for the descent into Onderland.  Staying on plan and working out 5 days a week since mid-June and nothing...not an ounce.  Was looking over my fitbit data today and noticed that since the first my body fat percentage has dropped from 42.5 to 37.2%, so that's something!

    1. OutsideMatchInside

      OutsideMatchInside

I bounced around at 200,201,202 for what seemed like a long time, I can't remember how long it was now, maybe 2-3 weeks, maybe a week. Then I never hit 199, I was 198, lol.

  13. Just got back from a whirlwind STL to DC road trip and I am exhausted!  Back at the gym and back at work today!  No weight gained, but no loss either.  Stuck at 200 lbs.  Come on Onderland!!!

  14. One of my goals was to be in Onederland by my birthday.  My birthday is tomorrow.  I weighed in today 200.0.

Guess I'll weigh in again tomorrow!

  15. I hurt my hip yesterday trying to wear some super cute shoes to work.  No gym today.  A little setback, but I'll be back at it after a rest. (Hopefully tomorrow.)

  17. Today is my 8 month Surgiversary!!!  I'm down 90lbs from starting weight, down 113lbs from my high weight!  I'm so close to Onderland I can taste it! (It's low carb, so I'm sure it's fine.)

I celebrated by starting off the day with an hour at the gym.  Did 30 minutes on the treadmill completing Week 3 Day 3 of the C25K and then did the 30 minute express workout at Planet Fitness!

  18. Yesterday was my 6 month post op appointment, even though I'm 8 months out on the 26th.  Thinks have been delayed for me since my husband's stroke at the end of February and resulting heart surgery mid- May.  He is still really proud of me. 89 pound down.

Joined Planet Fitness last night.  Spent an hour there last night on the treadmill, doing the 12 minute ab circuit, and working on arms and shoulders.  Went back again this morning to complete Week 3 Day 1 of C25K and do the ab circuit this morning.  Early morning is going to be my jam.  It's close to work, so it should be easy to keep up with regardless.

So sorry to hear about all you have been through with your husband.

You have done great to lose 89 pounds!!!!

  19. 3 days without stepping on the scale is really messing with my head.  3 more days to go!  Onederland is coming, but it needs to speed up just a tad...lol

    1. MowryRocks

      MowryRocks

That's a great idea. I'm a (former) twice a day weigher, so it's a hard habit to break, but 4 days gone. 1 more left...lol

  20. Just had to change my ticker to reflect my new goal weight of 130.  That is what it has to be for me to have a "normal" BMI.  It's only 10lbs different, but why am I so hacked off about it?

  21. Putting this goal out here to the universe for support and accountability.  I need to lose 7 lbs before by 06/20/2017, my next follow up to be in wonderful Onederland (My goal, not theirs) I need to lose a total of 16 lbs before 07/04/2017 to be 100lbs down by my 42nd birthday.  Prayers, good thoughts and practical advice accepted.  I'm losing at a very slow rate n w.  Eating about 1000 cal per day and training for a 15k in December. Just need this movement to feel like I am still accomplishing something!

  22. Went to a women's class at the MMA gym last night with a friend.  We had a blast sweating and punching the crap out of stuff.  Lost a pound overnight ending my 6 week stall.

  23. I've been back on the boards a bit today.  Hubby is on his way to a full recovery from his stroke, but has to have a procedure to repair a hole in his heart.  Back to focusing on me for a bit.  Did well staying on plan, but didn't lose anything, didn't gain either...so we'll call it a win.

Seems to be looking up! Good news. I hope it just gets better.

  24. Been MIA for a few days.  My 42 year old hubby had a stroke on Saturday.  He will be ok, we have been blessed with no long term effects, just questions. Trying to take time to eat mindfully through this stressful time.

Thanks guys! He is doing better. He has a hole in his heart that they will have to fix, so we are waiting on information about that, but otherwise a-ok. Of course the running joke now is that I had to get better and stronger so that he could fall apart for awhile.

      Hoping052017

So sorry! I hope he gets better soon with a full recovery! Loving the running joke though!

  25. Had my 4 month follow up with Dr. Ricks.  He says I'm doing great and he's really proud of me.  Why does that make me feel so awesome?

Great job! It should make you feel awesome! If Doc is proud, you're obviously doing something right! Way to go!
