I know this post is old but please lose the weight first
I had vsg basically to bring back fertility and it worked I got pregnant
But during my pregnancy I gained 100 lbs
Then I was over weight while pregnant
I went 38 weeks and 5 days
Delivered a stillborn..
My heart is broken and now I'm on a journey to lose weight again and ttc I will never put any child or myself at risk like that again

And another thing about this site.. some things you have to take with a grain of sand. . I think people read these threads with no regard, quick to want to correct and dictate. Knowing damn well we have all crossed these hurdles one way or a other.

Just like brae_issleeved said.. I'll do it over again times a thousand I swear to God I'm happy I didn't back out like I wanted at first because of fear.. Don't ever let fear or the what if's stop you for doing something that can change your life for the good.. I had my surgery in June.. I'm down 95 pounds as of today and I couldn't be more happier.. Only my mom.. And ex knows about my surgery. . I never draw attention to my eating habits so know one notices if they do I say I ate earlier.. My life has changed.. But for the better.. I look completely different.. I feel amazing.. I feel beautiful.. I have energy.. No pain.. When I go out I don't want to hide anymore.. Hell I'm front and center lol ... I say go for it.. Only if your 120% ready.. Good luck

I'm in las vegas and had my surgery done with dr. Atkinson 1/30/17. I would love to meet people to exercise with. I walk a lot but it does get boring doing it alone. I know it's getting hot but all the malls are air-conditioned...for now early mornings still work and there are some nice parks around town. 😆

Where's my Vegas sleevers???, I know alot of us are out here. We are in the perfect city to get together​.
(minus the 100's of buffet's we have lol)

I was in a committed relationship when I was sleeved and now am not. I don't think it was because of the weight loss directly. It was more like... once the obesity monkey was of my back, i had the energy to realize I wanted more out of life. I wanted a physical and emotional relationship that is loving and caring and fullfilling. i didn't have any of those things and when I asked for it... I was pretty much told he wasn't interested. I made the hard choice to move on so I could live a better life. Pre weight loss, I just didn't have the energy or confidence to imagine a better life.

To be honest, I was in pain the first week, after that I was totally fine.. The site where they pull your stomach out hurts the most .. But now I'm going on 3 weeks post op and my incisions are already healed up..
