    Got these cook books today, I know they are for after surgery but thought I'd share for those of us who haven't had it yet to be prepared. I've gone through all the books and they have great recipes! Hundreds of recipes between the 2 books and they tell you step by step and how much of everything you need, they even already list the macros for you so you know the nutrition of everything as long as you follow the serving portion in the books you will know exactly what calories, Protein, fat, carbs, etc it has and in "eating well after weight loss surgery" every meal in that book can be made no matter what stage you are in after surgery, wether you are in purée or finally able to eat solid things each meal can be made and it teaches you how to make the modifications for each. Just thought I'd share for any of you interested :)


  2. @@Large2Ncharge you've made that calendar for anyone in December right? This particular one is just for the people who have actually joined the 2016 sleevers group :)

    Any Sleever for December 2016. I'm not sure everyone understands the diff between the forums and the groups. If they list their MBP username, I shoot the group's link to them and let them know that they can access the group via a laptop/desktop computer.

    I understand, I was just asking cause you posted that in a fourm that was posted to the group lol so i just wanted people to understand the calendar I did and that i post on people surgery day to show them support was strictly for group members so that it can be a private group support type thing because there way to many people in December haha I'm getting so many private messages asking why they aren't part of it, so thats why i asked lol


  3. @@vegbeth I wouldn't worry, some people have 2 weeks pre op liquid diets or more, some have only a week or only a day and some have none! every doctor has their own thing and depending on how they even do the surgery, depends on if they need the liver shrunk, plus in your labs they check your liver maybe yours has shrunk when you had to lose the 60 lbs to where your doctor isn't worried about it, but dont stress your doctor knows best for you, when is your surgery date? maybe it isn't close enough to were they told you the diet yet? i only found out a week before i had to start mine

I was self pay and all i had to do was get a psych eval and cardiology and pulmonary clearance, first doctor appointment i went to was in July and my surgery is December 16th what took so long is being able to get an appointment for the other doctors and then having them having to test me and wait for results to get a clearance, i finally got all my clearances done on November 20th and they called me the next day saying they had dates available for December 8th or 16th so i went with the 16th so everything self pay is normally fast just depending on how quick you get clearances


  5. @@kayshabear my 2 shakes are each 30g Protein so thats 60g right there and then my yogurt and 5g and i eat 3 a day so thats 15g and my Jello has 1g lol so i least have 76g a day plus i have been doing broth but my mom homemade it for me so i don't know exact nutrition facts but I'm sure I'm getting least 80 a day but trying to get 4 shakes a day makes me nauseous I'm over the taste after the 2nd one! lol


  6. i'm on the same time frame with everything as you and today i saw that i'm finally down 5 lbs in four days. but it's shark week sooooo... and that's probably not helping me feel completely opposite of you-- i'm actually quite hungry. like right now. i had my first shake at 7 and i'm already looking at the clock bc of how hungry i am. ugh. but i totally got this! it's hard but it's not impossible.

    Haha I think what is helping me is that like I said earlier I'm suppose to do 4 Protein shakes but honestly by 2 I'm over it so I think I'm making myself not be hungry by knowing I don't wanna drink the rest of the shakes that day who knows! Lol like today's it's 10:30 am where I am and I haven't ate yet cause I don't want a shake lol

    Thank you! And At first I was using cellecor mint chocolate chip and cinnamon swirl which are very tasty but by day 3 I was over them lol so yesterday I switched to Premier Protein in chocolate and bananas and cream! So I'll have 4 to switch from now over the next 10 days

  8. well 7 pounds exactly now haha but @OutsideMatchInside I'm doing about 700-800 my Protein shakes are each 160 so 2 a day are 320 "I'm suppose to have 4 of them but it isn't happening" my yogurts are about 90-100 each depending on the flavor and thats 3 times a day so about 300 and then 2 Jello are 20 so there is 40 popsicles are 10 i have about 2 of those also so 20 then some broth which i don't count the calories cause its always home made but obviously there is some in there so I'm getting at least 680 calories not including the broth plus i do drink crystal lights and stuff which is 5-10 calories and sometimes i have about 5 of these

On the liquid diet I have lost 6.5 pounds in 4 days, I know some of you have probably lost way more but on account I've been the same weight since August 2015, yes thats the correct year lol been the same weight for over a year, ive managed to only fluctuate by like 2 pounds but not actually keep losing so I'm so happy to see what the next 10 days bring and then also after surgery :) liquid diet sucks for sure, you may of seen the post i posted before about it but I'm beginning to see how beneficial it is not just to shrink liver but its teaching me I'm more head hungry then actually hungry! before I just ate cause I saw it and would think to myself I like how that item taste lets eat it! But now that I can't have all those yummy things I wish I could I'm not even hungry and all I'm eating is 2 Protein Shakes a day, a couple sugar free popsicles, 1-2 sugar free Jello, and a whole bunch of Water and crystal lights, but I'm not dying of hungry, I'm still wishing i could be eating all the food the rest of my family is because I'm seeing it and dreaming about how i know it taste so good haha but I'm not actually hungry for it
