    Restriction

I'm about 9 days post op and obviously I don't feel restriction because I'm not eating anything haha I did move to full liquids though. When can I expect to start feel restriction because as I write I'm eating tomato Soup but don't really seem to get full from it. I'm not necessarily concerned at all because I do take a long time to sit a drink my shakes and eat etc. but I'm just curious as to when people started to notice the restriction? 6. I had mine the 7th and my right side was the only painful spot and my surgeon says it's common because that's where they took out the stomach. So maybe that's the same for you. Try ice chips to get Fluid in. It allows you to keep your mouth wet and hydrate with slow sips when you swallow. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Snack

I think it's very normal to be craving certain things especially if you're cooking for your family and watching other people eat things that you can't right now. I for sure am finding it very difficult and gr very very irritated lol I just have to keep reminding myself that this clear liquid/full liquid is only temporary. You just have to keep on keepin' on. I know that even though I'm ready to switch to full liquids, I have not gone off plan once no matter how sad, frustrated, angry I get. My time will come when I can eat a nice piece of broccoli and some salmon for now maybe try having ice chips. It's helped me with the desire for something crunchy but is also helping me get my fluids in Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

4 days post op and confused

Thank you so much everyone! Glad to have somewhere to talk about it all because I've kept this a secret from everyone except a select few. @@kim0518 oh nono don't worry I haven't had anything other then Water, Isopure and broth. The lean mean I was talking about was from pre op diet. Don't worry, I'm not straying from the plan:) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

4 days post op and confused

@@sleeveisa yeah I had to make a deal with myself that I'll only be weighed at the doctors because otherwise I'll obsess over it which ends up sabotaging me every time lol but my surgeon said definitely not to weigh yourself after the hospital because you we most likely weigh more then started because of the fluids. Thankfully I've had a smooth recovery and no problems getting liquids in... I suggest ice chips. I think it's honestly how I'm keeping so hydrated because I get the chewing sensation and wait for it to melt to swallow and I have like 4 full cups of ice chips a day! Lol so maybe try that out! Just keep taking it slow:) keep me posted! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  12. I had my sleeve done Wednesday.. I was on a 2 week liquid diet and occasionally lean mean at dinner. I didn't cheat once.. I made it through thanksgiving and all the leftovers without touching anything. I'm not hungry and I recognize it's just head hunger and cravings but im just so sad because I'm just mourning all my past habits, I suppose. I see foods in tv or commercials and just crave it. I guess you can say I'm in the regret stage of it all. I think once I can move on to at least full liquids and keep progressing I'll feel better. I'm hoping... Protein shakes

I used shakeology.. I know it's expensive but honestly I was happy to spend the extra money knowing it's something that i can stomach but even actually enjoy. Of course just like anything else you get tired of it, but I was happy with my choice to use shakeology ! I'm day four post op so i won't know if I'll still like it once I move to full liquids.. but for pre op it was great! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Leek

My surgeon ordered an upper gi so I wasn't allowed to even sip Water or anything until the day after and made sure the test went well. What makes you think you have a leak ?
  15. Two days until surgery and haven't cheated on my liquid diet! I was allowed to have vegetables and grilled meat, etc. and my question is is it okay if I ate that today? The only thing I see on all my papers is clear liquid only for day before surgery (tomorrow). I'll obviously tell my surgeon I have ground turkey meat today but do you think it will be a problem?
