  1. I am now at 1 year 5 months after my Gastric Bypass. This journey wasn't easy but I have been at my goal weight 150lbs now for over 5 months so I'm getting insurance approval for my panniculectomy and breast reconstruction. Then my journey will be complete. I feel amazing!!  Still experimenting with most foods and never afraid to try new foods all the time. Posted are my before & after pics. Insurance DOES pay for Panniculetomy & reconstruction breast LIFT (not augmentation) so I am very happy about that!!

Had a breast reduction prior to the sleeve.PS wanted to know why I didnt do this sleeve first. Wonder if i could get a lift after as well?

  2. The process has been AMAZING so far!!! I am 6 moths post op. My surgery was Nov 08, 2016. I am down 100Lbs as of today. Not a ton of sagging skin but I work on my bowflex everyday and get a full body oil massage every other week (including cupping) to help my skin.  I have only had a few minor issues with vitamin absorbtion. I get Iron infusions once a week and give myself B12 shots once a week. But that is nothing!! and I feel great!

I still hate that sick feeling after I eat! I try many different foods but Greek yogurt w/ protein is the ONLY thing that doesn't make me feel like crap after I eat it.  The feeling always passes in about 30 min but that 30 min is spent feeling like I need to lay down or get sick. Anyone that says this is the 'easy' way has NO idea what we go through EVERY day! you don't realize how much of a luxury eating was till you can't. My before and after is attached.

Congrats! You look great! I hope I can hit 100 pounds lost by the time I hit six months as well. I'm sorry to hear that you are still having food issues - I really haven't had that problem much, although last night was the first time in a long time I felt incredible discomfort after I ate. I guess for bariatric patients it means a longer struggle finding foods that work for us.
