You need to keep in mind and remember you're going to have LOTS of stalls. Weeks worth at times. It's part of the process. Embrace the Stalls! So there will definitely be months that you lose less and months that you lose more

Hi Sherry! This chart is pretty spot on. I was 235 day of surgery (Sleeved) and I'm 5'5. I'm 1yr 1month (exactly today) post op. As of this morning I'm 160. BUT I do alot of lifting at the gym so my muscle mass is a little higher. My goal is 145 but the weight loss has dramatically slowed down. I'm ok with that! I'm happy where I'm at now. It's slowed to like a pound every other month. Lol. Good luck on your weight loss journey!

I eat Pasta, bread and rice. Sometimes a slice of pizza, not going to lie. I don't eat them everyday and will not eat them everyday. I used to binge on these foods but not anymore. I am active and always on the move so I'm losing weight and inches (slowly).

I didn't wait a year before drinking alcohol as advised. I think I only hung in there around 3 months. I don't drink a lot though, just a glass of wine occasionally.

Keep in mind I'm 2.5 years out and have been in maintenance for 1 year.
I drink with meals. I don't follow the 30-minute rule. I've never consumed the recommended 64 ounces of Water a day. On most days I'm lucky to down one 16-ounce bottle of water. Too much water sends me to the toilet every 15 minutes. I'm a snacker. My favorite Snacks are peanuts, string cheese, turkey sausage, and fruit. Snacking is discouraged in the realm of bariatric surgery. I don't chew my food 20 times before swallowing.

Embrace the stalls! The 3 week stall might be your 1st but it definitely won't be your last. It's part of the process in becoming your new self. So don't get discourage, embrace them.

That's so cool! Right around the corner! It definitely comes super quick. The only advice I can give you that others might not agree with LOL... if you like sushi do an All-You-Can-Eat for your last supper! Hahaha!!! I never got a last supper and I miss being able to sit down and enjoy the all you can eat sushi restaurants . But skinny feels better than Sushi taste!

I love your attitude! I'm going to try really hard to embrace the stalls but I have to be honest...I want to be losing more weight more qucikly. This isn't because I'm not doing well. I'm down over 30 pounds in about 3 and a half weeks. It's just that I'm impatient

Hello there, thank you for your answer. I am very happy to hear all these great responses. I will take things one day at a time, but I am glad to hear you were able to work from home when you returned. Also that you didn't need narcotic pain meds after a few days. I am glad about that. Again, Thanks for the encouragement, glad to hear you are doing so well. I am excited and can't wait to change my life. Looking forward to running in the park next summer with my boys and taking charge of my health. But most importantly, I don't want my daughter to see an unhealthy mom as her role model. By time she's one I will hopefully not only look more healthy but live a healthier life. My whole family is of normal weight except me. It's time for me to change my life. Yaaaay.

Don't weigh yourself till the end of the 1st month. You're going to hit the 3week stall and it's only going to bother you even more. Wait it out. You'll be happy with the outcome in the end!

Nope. Not crazy. It's actually called ketosis. And it's a good thing! It also the reason for that nasty taste in your mouth that won't go away. It's your body using your fat stores instead of carbohydrates for energy which produces a build up of acids. They are secreted through your skin and breath. It's a totally normal metabolic process.

Hmmm that's odd...out here in CA it's covered as long as your primary refers you and you meet all the medical criteria.
