I’m just frustrated with dating. Two years after surgery I know I will always need to be vigilant to keep weight off. I can’t be with someone who struggles with food or isn’t active. I’ll get sucked right into their lifestyle.
It makes me feel shallow, even though I know it shouldn’t, and it limits the dating pool. I guess I didn’t have any expectations concerning relationships after weight loss, but I did/do have aspirations. I’m tired of being single, and when you exclude overweight women, single moms, women 8+ years older than you, people who don’t have their **** together, women who want kids, and people so into Jesus it’s in the first 15 words of their dating profile, it’s like trying to find a specific needle in a haystack-sized pile of needles. It’s frustrating and sometimes it hurts.
That’s my venting for the day. Off to find something enjoyable.

Hi there! Ideally, you should cease drinking 30 minutes before starting food, and allow 30 minutes to pass by before drinking again after the last mouthful of food taken. This does 2 things, firstly, to prevent 'flush through' of food eaten, which can result in greater and inaccurate feelings of being satisfied and full, as the Fluid will push some or all of the food in your pouch/stomach. Secondly, following the 30 minute rule, you will avoid overfilling and those feelings of fullness.....basically mild or more serious 'dumping syndrome' type features. It is a sensible way to adopt, and can require constant reminders to ourselves in the earlier days. Hope this helps a little !

Plan your menu ahead of time, Snacks and meals and everything. Maybe even do a week or two of liquid diet like you did just post-op to reset things.

A lot of people will do a pouch reset.
My advice is to write out your menu for the week. Maybe go to Pinterest to get ideas if you need them. But planning out my meals is my best strategy to stick to healthy eating. Otherwise it gets to dinner time and I'm at a loss for what to eat or make and just end up eating junk.

(Apologies in advance if this is the wrong place to post this)
Just wanted to introduce myself and thank you all for letting me troll your Q&A's the last few weeks . Was hesitant to introduce myself until my insurance pre cert came thru and I had my surgery date which I just got today!!! Been a long 6 month preparation but I am SOOO ready for this. Anywho, just wanted to say hello and a sincere thank you to everyone who has taken the time to post questions and answers. I'm nowhere near the anxiety level I was previously before finding you guys! Looking forward to sharing this journey with you all
