    Hungry 3 Months Post Op

Is it real hunger or head hunger? Im about 3 months post, too. When im truly hungry, i get light headed. I try not to get to that point by eating every 3 to 4 hours and drinking tons of water. Head hunger hits me when im in a funky mood or im bored. I just try to talk mysekf out of it and distract myself with other things. If you are exercising regularly, you need 1000 calories or more. Im getting there, but mostly 900 calorie days at most.

    Genepro Safe???

I count it as 20 grams not 30 per scoop
  4. Im almost 3 mos pot op, im paranoid about stretching my stomach. There have been a few times where i ate until i was really full, not sick, but full. Then i get worried and wonder if i need to do fluids for a day to make up for it and have done that. Am i being too worried or not. I know to eat until satisfied and not stuffed. Ive lost weight steadily and dont want to eff up.

    Help I'm gaining weight

I'm 7 weeks out and my weight will go up and down every day so I stopped wishing daily. I'm on a stall now. I know it will get better. You didn't gain weight all at once so you can't lose it all at once. Cut yourself some slack. Also taking measurements has been a great motivator for me when the scale is not!

    EGD

I have sleep apnea and asthma. I have had scary breathing problems with past medical procedures so when it came time for my EGD and VSG I told the anesthesiologist ahead of time. They intabated me for the EGD from the get go and no problems. Same with the surgery. No problems. If you do need a CPAP, then by all means , use it. They are a bitch at firs5, but then they make a world of difference! Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

    5 January VSG, low BMI

My BMI was 35two weeks b4 surgery. My surgery was 1/3. My BMI is now 31. Wish I was losing more, but I have to be patient and that's not my strength. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  10. If you get desperate, there is an OTC suppository you can use safely. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
  11. I used them crushed as breading so no judgement here. I'd say chew the hell out of one before awallowing. Then wait to see how you feel. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

  13. 8 days post op, still struggling to get enough water and protein, but increasing every day! Went back to work 6 days after surgery.

    1. OKCPirate

      OKCPirate

It will come. Get a shot glass and keep it full of water to help you sip. Get as much as you can, but there are real limits for the first three weeks on your protein unless you like Isopure clear protein. Just get ready to start tracking next week and prepare to be amazed.

Today is the first day I feel semi normal. Going back to work on the 23rd.

  14. Biotin does help but it takes a month or so for it to really show. Make sure you wash it with a sulfate free shampoo or cleansing conditioner. Makes a difference. I have fine hair and lost some due to thyroid problems. Ask your stylist for suggestions. Biolage cleansing conditioner for fine hair seems to work for me. When Ulta runs a sake I stock up. I used to use cheaper stuff, but it made a noticeable difference and was worth it for me. Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App
