  1. Great stuff from all of you, congrats and continue the good work. I'm a few days shy of 6 months out and I try to just listen to stomach, whats left of it. I've stopped weighing my food because rarely could I eat it all. That being said, some days it seems I can eat a fair amount while others, I get full after a half bowl of soup. Beef, chicken, fish, i can barely eat 3oz. It is easier for me to eat veggies. Also, I know its frowned upon but it is what it is, I have an easier time getting portions in with a piece of bread. Lately, my lunch is half a ham and cheese sandwich on good bread, with good quality meats and cheeses. I always end up throwing it out with 2-3 bites left. I pretty much have switched to a european style diet. No processed foods, but I am OK with a small good piece of crusty bread, lots of olive oils, good fresh vegetables. I drink lots of water throughout the day. I do seem to eat several very small meals per day and the free yogurts at work are a regular go to. I will also slice half a banana with some peanut butter as a sweet treat. I will keep focusing and try to listen to my stomach. I eat slow and some meals it seems like I can eat a lot, at least for the new me, while other meals, I am done after just a few bites. There is no rhyme or reason that I have noticed yet. It sucks when you order an expensive meal and you feel hungry to have your stomach tell you, nope...your done, after just a few bites. I'm down 117 lbs or so to 263 which is way ahead of where I thought I'd be. My SW was 359 and HW at start of liquid diet was 380. My goal weight is 225. Not too shabby. Thankful for my new found health. I'm off blood pressure meds and no more sleep apnea. In fact, my wife says I don't even snore.
  2. Good job man and i look forward to you sharing your improved well being.
  3. Fellow sleevers unite! I remember you all, surfing through these forums for hours worried about my surgery but excited for the potential health and physical change. Now I'm on the other side almost 5 months out and want to share my story with those that are waiting in anticipation or a few days out wondering whats next. I was sleeved on 09/29/2017. At my surgery I weight 363 and my weight when I started the liquid diet was 380.4. I think I ended up topping out somewhere around 387 in the days or weeks before the liquid diet. As of this morning I weight 273.8. So roughly 107 lbs in 5 months. I'll take it! Size wise I am currently a 38 waist, and XXL top. I was a 46/48 waist and 4XL a few short months ago. My overall goal is 225 (I'm 6'2). Here is my lame attempt at a Letterman style top ten list but backwards. Time flies, enjoy the ride, and the compliments Losing weight is cool. Growing saggy man skin tits not. Pretty Pimpin’ by Kurt Vile is on my sleeve journey mix tape. Its great being able to sit in a chair and not worry about breaking it. I used to love Soup. That was before eating it everyday for 4 weeks. Only fat people wear fitbits. I wore mine, and it was stupid. I've never seen any active person actually wearing one. I probably exercise more without it. You can weigh yourself everyday. I did, its OK. First thing in the morning, post dump, post shower. I’m suprised I haven’t gone through a costco size pack of AA batteries. Levi’s that aren’t loose or baggy fit = AWESOME! I am no longer that fattest person everywhere I go, There are a crapload fatter than me.....I know as I just got back from Disney. Sex gets better with every 20 lbs. Holy shit, I’m not sweating!
  4. Hey all I was sleeved September 29th. Down 47# since preop diet started September 19th. Haven't gotten as much walking in as I had initially planned but much more active with the kids. I tried a free Yoga this morning and that totally sucked. As for food I am cleared for a normal diet and actually introduced fatoush salad last night with a few pieces of Shish tawook. No problems. I'd kill for a piece of fruit but holding off on that for now. For the first weeks I had bad heartburn and my insides would bounce between constipation or full on runs but that has settled down. Glad to see everyone progressing and I look forward to more updates and continued success. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    So....about my pee.

Thanks for the heads up, gonna by a little BP thingy so I can measure at home. I'm just about 50# down as of this morning and the doc told me a few weeks ago to stay off and measure my own BP, if it stays in the normal range to consult my primary and discontinue use of Lisinopril which it has, but today I've been a little light headed and low BP is in my family history.

    So....about my pee.

So yes I was on lisinopril for high blood pressure which I'm not on anymore. To answer the other question I was never a big soda drinker and would only have one on occasion. I'm Cuban so coffee is a regular part of my day I would usually drink 2-3 cups of American coffee a day plus a Cuban coffee after lunch I have since cut that by more than half. I emailed my doctor he he says not to worry that it's normal and he'll go into detail during our appointment. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    So....about my pee.

I wonder if I had the same thing. I too, would get up usually twice, but sometimes 3 times a night and I would pee for what seemed like forever. I was always wondering where all this Fluid came from. That stopped after surgery. I sent an email to doc, I'll let you all know his response.

    So....about my pee.

Yeah, so I'm not cleared for the Gym yet. Don't have my follow up until November 16th. My one week follow up was cancelled because of the hurricane and it has messed up all my appointments. I started walking 2 weeks post op and have walked / biked 4 times last week. (2) 3 mile walks at a 3.7mph pace, and (2) 5 mile bike rides at a 12.5 mph pace. I want to keep doing that 3-4 times per week until cleared for gym. The PA at the office is really good about responding back so I may just send him an email. Gonna try to up my fluids today first. Also, yes, it does have a pretty strong odor and I would say it has been both dark and bright at times.

    So....about my pee.

I am going to up my fluids even more see what happens. I drink one 30g Protein shake per day, and have a protein whip greek yogurt plus chicken, fish, and/or eggs for lunch and dinner. Still on soft foods for a few more days but I get at least 60g of protein a day per my tracking. As for weight loss, I think I am on track. I'm down 46# since pre-op diet started 09/19 and 34# since surgery 09/29. Thanks for your input.

    So....about my pee.

Thats the thing.....I have no problem drinking fluids since post-op day 3. I am pretty sure I am sucking down plenty of fluids. I go through my 30oz Yeti cup 3 times per day plus shakes, decaf, etc.
  12. Hey Gents, question for you all. I've noticed I hardly have to take a leak anymore. I used to go probably 6-8 times a day and I may do half of that now. I always had drank a lot of fluids and Water and I am pretty sure I am drinking nearly the same amount now. Good thing is I don't have to get up in the middle of the night once or twice to use the bathroom like before the sleeve. Now I may go 4 times a day, and there is not much volume at all, not like I'm measuring. Also, I use to be pretty clear and now it seems to be much more yellow and maybe a little stinky. Whats going on with me?!? I'm a few days shy of being 4 weeks post op. Thanks for your comments

    Drinking pace

I'm 3 weeks out and my first week I was like you and my wife was freaking out. I talked to my doc and he said if I'm feeling comfortable I shouldn't worry about it but to not go crazy and think I can go chug a beer now. I still don't chug but I do take multiple sips at a time. I can usually do a 11 oz Protein shake in under 10 minutes with no issues. food is generally a few bites and I'm burping. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
