  1. I wasn't diagnosed pre-op but I know for a fact I had a food addiction and was beginning a binge/purge cycle. I had been doing pretty well and was being super strict with myself for about 5 months. For the last 3, I've been telling myself 'one won't kill me', or 'I'll just work it off later'. But that, just a few bites of chips or Pasta have turned into binge fests where I eat more than I should until I feel sick. And I keep doing it. I feel so at a loss.

  2. Hey, so, if you're stalling a week and a half out, that's totally normal. I dropped like 20 pound sin 2 weeks, then slowed, then sped up again, then slowed, and now 7 months out I'm about 1-2 lbs a week. Stalls happen. It's part of the process. I wouldn't rush into fatty Proteins so early in your process. Stick with lean Proteins always, and a little further out, a fattier meat would be okay every now an then.

  3. Hi! My stats are almost like you. I'm 25, female, 5'2'' and SW: 255, CW: 202. The only difference is that I'm over 3 months post-op (not too far from you). I have just started to work out at the gym a week ago. Last week I worked out 3 times for 30-45 minutes each. I'm shocked by how much more energy I have. I'm already able to walk 3.5 mph and at an incline. I'm also able to bike at 90-100 rpm. Every time I go back to the gym, it's so much easier than the time prior. I've plateaued a bit, as well. I haven't gained any weight, but I've noticed the weight loss is much slower than it was (only losing 1-2 pounds each week). I don't think I'm eating enough, and when I do eat, I'm not eating what I should. I'm not drinking 64oz (maybe only 20oz) and I'm only taking in about 40-50g of Protein a day.

My stats are similar to /yours/. I am 20, 5'2", SW: 283, CW:224, 3 months post op. On the exact same exercise level as you. Having trouble eating my Protein and drinking my water!

  4. I'm 3 1/2 months post op and I have fairly regular gastrointestinal pain. It feels like unyeilding pressure. It makes me think that it's gas, but I'm not sure. Sometimes certain things like lying down, moving around, or curling up in a ball relieves it, but sometimes it doesn't. I'm fine until the pressure hits. Then I'm absolutely miserable. I get overheated and I start to panic a little when I can't get it to stop. Anyone else having this issue?

  5. I am 10 Days post op. Yesterday I had a major melt down about watching my family eat what they want in front of me. Before this point, I had a food addiction, and having surgery doesn't fix that. I live in the south, and food has always been apart of my life as an interest and an unhealthy obsession. I did this to physically limit myself because my will power isn't enough. I'm using it as a tool and a motivator. Has anyone else faced emotional issues concerning their eating problems? How do you combat it? Does it get better?
