    Tylenol issues, help

I use the salonpas Patches or the Australian Dream back cream. They work great. Australian Dream is expensive (around 30 dollars), but that works the best. Good luck. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App

    Advice from ex smokers?

I quit smoking cigarettes 2 years ago today Aug 1, 2014. I used the ecigs and it helped tremendously. I weaned myself off of nicotine in 2 months and had no problem with withdrawal. Best thing I ever did. Whenever I have a craving to smoke I still use the ecigs (vape pen) once or twice a week. It worked for me. I was a 30yr+ smoker. Good luck on your journey. Smoker [emoji19]

Hi. I was a 30+ year smoker. I stopped smoking cigarettes in August 2014 and started the ecigs. Weaned myself off of nicotine in 2 months. Now I barely smoke the ecigs, only once or twice a week. No nicotine. Honestly I can say that was the best decision I made ever. No desire anymore for a cigarette, unfortunately I gained about 25 pounds, but worth it. No more stinky clothes, house or myself. That's how I did it. Never thought I could. Now it's time to lose the weight. You hear bad things about ecigs too, but I believe they are still safer than cigarettes. Give it a try. Worked for me. Good luck...???? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App

    Multivitamins

Did you ever consider liquid Vitamins or Vitamin crystal powder? I read somewhere that the vitamin crystal packets could be mixed in the Protein shake. They say vitamin Patches do not absorb well on overweight people. I'm going to try the crystals. The chewables taste awful to me. I believe you can buy them on Bariatric Choice. Good luck. PA Highmark BCBS PPO Insurance- I need help!

The first thing I did was attend a seminar on bariatric surgery. I told my primary doctor that I went to a seminar and that I have an appt with the surgeon that did the seminar. My primary doc was very supportive and gave me the medical clearance for the surgery. What I would do first is attend a seminar and take it from there. They explain the different surgeries that are offered and lots of questions and answers about WLS in general. Good luck to you. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App

PA Highmark BCBS PPO Insurance- I need help!

My initial consult was with the surgeon. $40 for consult. I believe the nutritionist is covered by insurance, if not probably $40 for each visit. The surgery is covered 90% by insurance. All the other preoperative tests like the gastroscopy, chest xray, cardiogram and bloodwork are covered by the insurance. As far as I know each preop and postop visit with the surgeon is $40 each appt. The main thing is that our insurance pays for the surgery nowadays. Good luck with your journey... PA Highmark BCBS PPO Insurance- I need help!

Hi. I have Highmark BC/BS of PA. I had my initial consult on June 29th. I need to see a dietician for 6 consecutive monthly visits, 1 psych eval, start an exercise program and medical clearance from my primary physician. Other tests need to be done also prior to surgery, like a gastroscopy, bloodwork, chest xray and cardiogram. It's a process, but if you want something bad enough like myself you will adhere to the pre surgery requirements. It also gives you time to really learn healthy eating habits and prepare yourself for life changing surgery. Good luck with your journey and best wishes always.... Does anyone own a Fitbit?

I love my fitbit. I purchased it in January. I have the ChargeHR. I track my steps, heartrate, sleep schedule, use the alarm. I know I should exercise more, but it's difficult with the excess weight. I also got different fitbit covers to dress it up. I love the different patterns. I wear it everyday since then. Only have to charge it every 2-3 days. I could go on and on about it. I love it. Worth $150 to me. You will love it...Give it a try. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App
  9. Has anyone ever used the Vitamin Patches? I hate the chewable Vitamins. They taste like chalk. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App

    Told A Co-Worker

Some people are just igorant and rude. I use to worry about what people would think about my decision for WLS. I know in my heart that this is for me. I can't wait for the surgery. Hopefully it will be in September or October. Tried all kinds of diets and unfortunately no success. Good luck with your journey... Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N920A using the BariatricPal App
