Yes, those are all soft foods. Take small bites and chew to mush.
For purées I did stuff like cottage cheese, greek yogurt, refried Beans, tuna, ricotta with marinara, scrambled eggs.

I am in a stall too!! I lost 22 lbs since my surgery on October 19, and I have been in a stall for a couple of weeks! I may have broken the stall because I don't weigh now so there is no way of knowing! It made me get crazy mad like you did and my fiancé took my scale and put it in the back of his truck lol so I will find out how much or how little I have lost next week at my dr appt !! You are not alone

Totally agree with the others about the fact that you're in a stall, and read that post that Inner Surfer Girl wrote.
But have to point out that your eating crackers or taco shells (soft or hard) at just a month out is also a danger, and makes me wonder what else you're eating that is very bad. You should not be eating simple carbs - bread, crackers, Pasta - at this point. And ritz crackers are carb bombs with absolutely no nutritional value whatsoever - even if you only ate two of them, they are bad for you and should be eaten very occasionally and months and months from now. Eating crap food this early in the game just means you don't have the right tools and mindset to help you work the sleeve (and I blame your doc for that if they didn't give you a good guideline of what you should be eating at each point in your journey!).
Strangely, if you eat too little, that can also cause your body to hang onto every last pound due to starvation mode. It will eventually start back with weight loss, but it will be loss of muscle, not fat! So try to up your calories by eating more Protein and healthy foods, and get some good ideas for healthy meal options down and you should be okay.
This board is great for support, so definitely vent, ask questions and do lots of research!
High Protein yogurt (there are many low carb versions; I like Kroger's carbmaster brand), canned tuna fish or chicken with a little light mayo and a green onion chopped up, baked fish like swai fillets seasoned with any variety of spices, Fairlife or Mootopia milk (lower carb, high protein milk)... there are so many things you could be eating that are going to be high protein and low carb.
Save the crackers for many months from now (and try to find low carb or at least the whole wheat versions then), and concentrate on protein and healthy veggies. There are tons of great recipes here if you and also out in the googlesphere - search for sleeve diet recipes or similar. I'm sure you'll find some ideas that will taste good and be way better for you.
It's early days yet. Don't panic - you're not a failure. Just focus on the liquids, the right foods and exercising, and you'll do great.

Welcome to the club! I live in an area where there is no support groups either and the forums are so helpful. What you are feeling is soooooo normal. I am feeling that way right now as I type. Emotions are all over the place. Most importantly, get into the habit of Eating your Protein first....the beef out of your taco. If you have any room left, eat the veg or cheese. The taco shell and ritz crackers should be last or avoided all together (processed carbs). Good luck and hang in there!

Breathe and find the post called "Embrace the stall." EVERYONE stalls somewhere around three weeks or so. I stalled at 4 1/2 weeks. Hide the scale, take your measurements instead, focus on your eating. You aren't eating enough Protein and that is vital. There's no way that you can gain 3 lbs of fat with what you posted. What you gained is Water weight as your body freaks out from the sudden loss. It's all part of the process.

What you are experiencing is completely normal. Plus, your hormones are going to be whacky for a while which will influence your mood which doesn't help.
Stalls are a normal, natural, and necessary part of the weight loss process. Most everyone experiences their first loss at about three weeks post-op.
Just follow your program. Make sure you are getting in all of your Protein and fluids every day, take your Vitamins and supplements as instructed, and exercise.
If the numbers on the scale are going to drive you crazy, then consider weighing infrequently.

Just keep trying to do better each day. I'd also step away from the scale for a bit. Especially if it's making you crazy.

Fish is excellent. Another option that I use is Gene Pro Protein powder. Flavorless and 30gr per table spoon.. I add it to lots of things like Soups and eggs and tuna salad and egg salad and pinto Beans and wendys chili. You get the picture. I use it just to boost what I already do not as the sole source of Protein.
    Give it a try.

I was sleeved on May 10th, so I'm just a few days ahead of you. Fish is really sitting well with me right now. I've especially been enjoying tuna and salmon. I'll cook up some fillets, or I'll make a tuna salad with some light mayo. I also really like the ricotta bake (recipe on the eggface blog). And I am really loving the taste of hummus right now, even if I do have bad garlic breath. I like scrambled eggs too, but I know you said it didn't sit well for you. How well cooked was it? I tend to cook mine so they are soft, but my husband cooks them too long and then they're harder and less pleasant. Other things I've eaten include refried Beans, soft cheeses, mashed sweet potato, and avocado. Hope that helps!

So my surgeon sent me my "before" pictures yesterday, which of course made me want to take an "after" pic to compare. My surgeon does the "official" after pictures at the 3 month appointment when the scar is more healed. So I snapped a couple of pics today. It amazes me. There's only a difference of about 5 pounds in my weight since before and after surgery, but it seriously looks like a huge difference. I couldn't be more pleased with the results so far.

I have scar sheets on the scar, so we will see how that ends up, but so far so good.

@@msolomon55 You answered part of your question. The other possibilities are Vitamin deficiency and low blood pressure (if you were on BP meds - they may need to be adjusted). Hope you feel better soon!

I am so sorry you aren't feeling well. Yes, it does sound like you answered your own question. Have you talked to your NUT and your surgeon about your concerns.
Starting right now, it sounds like you need to do everything possible to get in all of your Fluid and Protein and take your Vitamins and supplements. Just doing those things should really help you feel better, regain your energy, and lose weight.
Once you are able to up your Fluid and Protein, exercise should help, too.

I'm six weeks out also. I lost 24 lbs before surgery and 22 after my sleeve. Went to the doctor today and they are pleased with my progress. I only have 55 to 60 lbs to loose. I'm 5'4 and 62 years old. Just remember the less you have to loose the slower it comes off. Stay on top of things. It's going to happen for us! Sent from my SM-G900V using the BariatricPal App

i'm glad to hear i'm not alone. I will not give up as a slow loss is better than no loss. I'm getting my 65+ g of Protein plus my Water but I guess as I start adding more food back, it will just take a bit longer than I had hoped. Hopefully this will mean less loose skin. ????

At 6 weeks, I was down 18lbs from my surgery weight. Today, I'm just over 10 months and down 100. I remember feeling like I would never make goal at 6 weeks because it was coming off so slow… but I'm 18lbs away now. It's hard to be patient, but stick with your plan… you'll get there!

I'm 4 weeks out and I already have a stall. I have been walking and trying to drink lots of Water and trying to get the Protein in it's hard I carry around a tuna packet to eat. I hope I start to loss soon. Feeling like I'm doing something wrong.

Steady loss is a gift from the weight loss Gods...you could be like me and not losing anything for 3 weeks. Be glad you're not stalled! I'm sure what you're eating is fine; that's good loss.

NewBeginning2016 reacted to Proud2BMe in Alcohol Addiction
Well, it's been a while since I posted here. I thought I would come clean and admit that I've developed an alcohol addiction. I knew the risks but I never thought it would happen to me.
For the past month I've been drinking every day, mostly whisky. I drink first thing upon waking up and then hit a few shots each hour. I've been drinking at night until I pass out.
It started because of tooth pain. I had some left over lortabs and was using those but when those ran out I was still in pain. So I turned to alcohol. Previously, I only drank when I went out on Fridays and Saturday, if I went out at all. So I'm officially hooked now. And alcohol effects me completely differently after surgery than before. Before just one single drink would leave me flushed and stupified. Today I can drink like a gallon (over-estimation) and be fine. I no longer get hot or flushed from drinking and it takes a lot to make me drunk. I think the surgery effected my metabolism somehow.
Anyway, I'm living proof that this can happen to those of us who have had the surgery. The only "good" news is that I haven't gained any weight. That actually surprised me. But I guess I haven't been eating much. Then again, I haven't lost any weight either. I'm still 14 lbs away from my goal weight.
I thought about getting professional help but my friends think I don't need it because I haven't been drinking like this for long. They want me to taper off. I have been drinking like 5 or 6 shots before work and my best friend says to slowly taper it off to just one shot before work before trying to cut it out completely.

Look, I love to drink, and I haven't had surgery yet. It's half the reason I need the surgery. The way you describe it, you are hurting yourself at a much faster rate than ever with food. Weening ain't enough. If you care about your health, and the surgery shows you do, talk to someone. No judgment.

I have known someone that developed an alcohol addiction after weight loss surgery. He spoke about no longer being able use food to numb his pain and turned to alcohol to numb his pain. Since he was familiar with how Overeaters Anonymous works he quickly got into Alcoholics Anonymous and was successful.
I would seek experienced help if I couldn't change myself.
    This is serious. Best wishes!

Dulcax is just a laxative. I took it the day before surgery.
I just came back from Disney with my granddaughters. I took it once while there. Works overnight well. No cramping, but helps things move about.
