Im a newbie to here... read threw a lot, learned. I did a lot of research prior to seeing my surgeon. It's so easy to look for information to answer simply. And some of these I've read...need to contact their surgeon, dietician..etc. That is what they are for. Google, Bing or whatever search and info is abundant. I love the personal stories, support & encouragement that is provided here.

Had my surgery last Monday, and Aunt Flo decided to show up, I just told the nurses and it was all fine, I took my own pads, more comfortable than what they offer.. and definitely no tampons for sure.

Well here is one before picture of me at my wedding in July 2004. I didn't have my surgery until July of 05 but I probably still weighed the same. The other two pictures are of me last week on a cruise that my husband took me on as a suprise. He is such a good guy!

I can't really tell in my body yet but I've had several people tell me this week that they can tell I've lost weight in my face so I found some pictures and I can start to tell a little bit of a difference.
A month before surgery

I'm down 40 lbs & have 60 to go.

Speaking of faces, I thought this was an interesting before-and-after. The one on the left was taken in 2001, and the one on the right a couple of weeks ago. Even I think I look younger now!

Here is a before and after.
1st one taken in June 04, about a month before WLS.
2nd taken today, Sept. 05. Nearly 70lbs lighter.

Here are my before and now photos. I cannot even tell that I've lost over 50lbs! It's very depressing for me to see these photos, not to mention that it is a HUGE step to post these on the internet. I can see my weight loss in my face and in the clothing sizes that I'm able to wear now, nontheless, I don't like looking at these photos.
