I use the phytocane revitalizing serum. On the box it says it's for hair loss due to stress, diet, fatigue, pregnancy.

It's really lovely and kind of glamorous to use. It comes as 12 amber glass ampules, you crack the top off, stick on the plastic applicator and massage the serum directly onto your scalp after a shower. I love the scent and it leaves my hair really soft and volumized. It's expensive but I found it to be quite effective. I personally didn't take biotin post op because I had tried it years ago and ended up growing some unwanted body hair.

Oh no! I'm convinced that if the hair loss was a permanent side affect many people wouldn't get the surgery. Thankful, it's not! Thankfully it'll grow back too. I'm sorry it's happening to you hon. And I'm equally happy that there are remedies to making it look fuller during this time. Fortunately for me, if I do experience the hair loss, I have so much of it I can spare. But I'm not going to be happy about the new growth, I have a glfeeling it'll grow back in gray. Lol.

This is very sad for us women!! Think about it, men can lose their hair or shave it off and be fine!! Noone will say anything about it. Then cme us Women!! We are such a worry wart that it is devastating to us!! It WILL grow back mine did. The thing about me was I come from a bunch of women that lost their hair so I was very very thin myself. Before my RRNY I kept a perm in my hair so it looked thicker. When I was young I had tons of hair I mean tons When I put it up with a thickest rubber hair band I could only wrap the rubber band 2 times. After my WLS I haven't put a perm in it. But did color it and started wearing it short. Good things are a comin it will grow back in. Go to your Hair stylist if youm havre one and talk to them. Another thing get your amount of protein in, I started only washing it ever other day. Plus I use a shampoo that helps with hair loss. I also take HAIR SKIN AND NAILS. I took them everyday up until last month when my B12 came back to high. Now I take it 2 times a week. Also Seleinum. Hang in there

Congrats! You and I have similar stats - I've also lost 50 pounds post-up and I'm waiting for 10 more to drop so I can hit 199! I can't wait - hopefully for both us it will arrive sooner rather than later.

Are you able to walk around much? I know it's hard with the fatigue, but so important to do.

Gyms opening at 10 a.m. is pretty much unheard of everywhere. Welcome to Japan! Though I think some gyms are starting to have earlier hours, like 9 a.m. Luckily, there's a local community center right down the street from me, and they have a gym which only costs about $3 per use, which is a great deal. The hours still aren't great, but at least I don't have to pay for an expensive membership.

Gym opening at 10am!? That is absurd and unheard of, especially in the states. Walking is great. Good conditioning for your heart too. I'll have to get used to "just walking". I do love my weights, but even now I'm out due to injury, so that's out. I find it amazing that it's gonna be three months already for you. It really does seem like you just had it. 😊 I'm just so happy to hear it seems to be going well for you. Keep at it hon!

It's such a terrible word - I was shocked the first time I realised that I was in the morbidly obese category. I have to say I am so happy and relieved to be out of it!

Thanks! I weighed myself this morning and am down 2 pounds so I am definitely over 50 pounds lost. Just finished all my measurements and every part of my body has lost weight - from my head down to my feet. I just need to do some photos next, for the record.

Thanks - actually, maybe I'm doing better than I think. I've been adding ground flaxseed to protein shakes, also PB2 peanut butter powder, and have started adding beans, so that's good. I also have some recipes using lentils, I just need to start making them!

I'm trying to add more plant-based foods into my diet, but it's been hard as I have so focused on getting protein in for the past few weeks. Also, my new belly reacts much more to various fruits and vegetables that I still have to be careful with what, and how much, I eat. The other day I had my first real feeling of fullness/needing to throw up - the amount I ate was normal, but the veggies (spinach) and fruit (a couple of strawberries) were what put me over. Definitely don't want to do (or feel) that again!
Anyway...if you find good sources on how to this the vegetarian way, I'd be interested in them!

I think it's for any food, no matter how big or small. I've just stopped pouring a drink for myself. Amazingly, I find I totally forget the "need" to drink while eating if I don't have a glass or cup in front of me.
