  1. I'm five days out and I get that sometimes especially if my stomach gets empty like when I wake up. I try to keep liquid in there all the time. I think we will feel weird pains since most of the stomach was removed and it is patched back up.

    I month down!

Awesome job! I've lost five pounds since surgery on Monday. Thanks for the inspiration!
  3. I gained six pounds in water weight after having my lap band removed and converted to sleeve Monday. I lost all the water weight plus five pounds as of yesterday. I was swollen too but more in the legs. My belly is still very swollen but it's pretty normal I think just get your fluids in and you'll feel better. Congrats!
  4. I hope I lose that much in six weeks! I have similar stats. Awesome job!

    Feeling normal?

Huh. I had surgery Monday and can almost drink normally but no way on food. Four tablespoons of pudding and I'm done. It's so weird how much people differ. I'm having lots of head hunger but have had zero real hunger so I hope that means chemically things are working.

    Wow! Awesome work.

    Eating is so hard!

If you can't eat much I'd just do protein and liquid. I had surgery Monday and tried watered down cream of wheat yesterday morning. Four small bites over twenty minutes and I felt like I had swallowed a ball. Then last night I had protein pudding and was able to have a quarter cup. The difference was the time of day and the texture difference. I feel I get a little better every day so I'm not too worried. I start my day with protein 2o grape drink because it isn't as thick and easier to get down.
  8. I had my band removed Monday and revision to sleeve right after. Surgery altogether was three hours. My surgeon says he rarely does it the other way because it means more time under anesthesia and two recoveries. I'm glad that band is gone. I can already tell the sleeve is more user friendly:)
  9. My team kept asking about this but I had an ablation and d&c for fibroids and my period isn't really a period. Although it is weird I still retain water like I use to that time of the month and lose after. Yes and I had the catheter but I also had to have my lap band removed
  10. lol I'm bad but I'd fake illness and not go. It's easier after awhile but when it's new it's kind of torturous.

    So Grateful

Woohoo! I can't wait to join you!!!
  12. I informed my medical staff at the hospital but I wasn't allowed to take them till after my swallow test the second day. I told them part of my nausea was from not taking my meds. I wasn't anxious for surgery but not having my meds, that withdrawal illness you can get, was real and it makes you anxious. I tell this to a nurse and she suggests I talk to the chaplain about my anxiety.[emoji849] Lol you can't explain to some people how psych meds work. Anyway I've been taking them the day after surgery and have had none changed to liquid and I've had zero issues even at the hospital.

mild sleep apnea - I'm pissed

Don't mess around with apnea. I'm back on my machine and loving it. My kids love mommy no longer snores. I'm hoping it goes away with weight loss as it has in the past.

    Evening of day 4....

Day four for me too! The first few days I felt like that and it really changed when I got all my protein in. I'm mixing it with just water to get as much hydration as possible. Today was my first day that food actually sounded good. Mashed potatoes hoping on April 28th after I meet with my doctor. Good luck!

Band to sleeve one surgery or two?

I had both done on Monday. The nurse said it would be rare to do the two at different surgeries unless there was a complication.
