    Clothes purge!

True. I definitely wonder if it's worth taking things in at this earlier stage... I'm only 6 weeks out. Currently dress size 24 Aus - want to be a 16. Thinking I should milk my current wardrobe for all is worth!!!! - plus size stuff is always very pricey. That said I can't sew - and alterations arn't cheap either. And I don't want to look ridiculous ... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    3 meals a day only?

My plan is to eat half a cup every three hours. So up 6 small meals/snacks per day. I usually have 5 per day. Works great cuz you never get really hungry. My cravings have been so minimal because there is no huge gap between eating. Also important is that they are not much different in size but density might vary. Like yoghurt at morning tea. Frittata at lunch. But cals are similar Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Always Hungry!

I purchased a colouring in book. I found that if did that for while instead of eating it kept my head busy and passed. Also if u feel hungry try Water instead. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Sleep

I'm finding I can't sleep but I think it's anxiety- not nasty anxiety but lying in bed thinking about things like weight loss stalls, what I might look like at goal, what I could do better tomorrow etc. so basically racing thoughts...even though slightly positive- bad at bed time Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Can't get protein in

Are there any good books on this topic? I'd really like to understand better particularly given my plan has lower Protein recommendations. Surely my dietitian knows her stuff....at least I hope Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Can't get protein in

I also have only been told to aim for 50G Protein a day and stay under 800 cals. I'm at 4 weeks and believe I'm healing well and am certainly choosing foods with protein but could someone explain why the extra protein helps you loose more weight? For instance I could easy add some protien powder to my zucchini slice etc but I didn't think it was necessary given the slice already has eggs.... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Swallowing air?

I read that a thumb nail size bite is a good size. So that is less than a teaspoon. Using a teaspoon I had those issues but a little less seems much better Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Feel a bit lost?

I know you said you can't stand the idea of cooking but I felt the same as you and on the weekend just past, I decided to make 3 dishes. I made a low carb zucchini slice for breaky, a mince and veggie slice/meat loaf for lunch and a chicken mince con carne for dinner. The act of finding three recipes, going to the shops and spending the day cooking to tunes made me feel in control. And I have my food needs for a week covered. Felt super motivated after. The week before I was eating eggs tinned tuna and cottage cheese and - was slowly giving up the will to live . I too am four weeks out. Can't wait till next week to try firmer foods. Alcohol Addiction

Just wondering if many people experience that alcohol affects them less after surgery? We have all been warned it will affect us more but clearly in this case that is untrue.... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  21. I tend to gain when I ovulate then the scales don't move until it arrives and then I'll drop 3-5kg. Not every time but on many occasions. I do have pcos though. Often the gain is my cue it's coming seeing as it's not always that regular. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I feel like I can hold too much..

I'm the same. Two weeks out and I was able to eat two scrambled eggs without a drama for dinner. Also 1/2 cup of mashed tinned salmon at lunch. I'm sticking to the correct measures but worried because I was warned how full I would feel and that even a tea spoon more would hurt or come back up. I didn't have any extra but id love to know how many more bites would have done me in. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
