Hi guys, its been weeks since ive checked in. Last time i was having surgery because of a blockage they found. Over 5 wks couldnt have a bowel movement for nothing. So plz be careful. Any signs, let someone know. I literally almost died, but i didnt and im so happy to be here to write this and say its never to late to get some help to get this weight off of you. This time last yr, i spent the holidays with family in dallas and was on a walker. Needed total knee replacement. Those same family members are with me this yr and weve walked 3miles every morning and they cant believe this is the same person, and i refused the knee replacement. Since i started this process in may, ive lost a total of 101lbs. Went from a 3xl now in a 12. Nothing but a great dr, and God.....what do you think

Im confused to. Are these actual pics of you now? Idk of a dr that would touch you for sleeve surgery if these are now pics, but good luck

Hi congrats on your WL! Did you ever stall? My surgery was three days before yours and I've only lost 40 pounds. I'm at a stall. Any advice is appreciated!

Surgery date 9/9/16. 305lbs at surgery date 230lbs today. I have dropped my BP and blood sugar. My back and leg pain is gone. I am no longer sick all the time and made it through Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. I eat out regularly and have enjoyed wine and beer in very small amounts.
It definitely gets better.

Hey northstar9148, even though i couldve had help, i didnt ask for help. Thats just the person i am. Im 8wks post op. I began the program at 298lbs and lost 22lbs before surgery. On my first check up after surgery i had lost another 41lbs. My surgery was alittle more difficult because not only did they do the sleeve but i had gallbladder removed and a large hernia repaired. So the 3 days in the hospital i lived on the pain pump. To this day, my stomach is still really tight. Im not eating as much as i think i should. Im not drinking as much as i should be at this point because ive been in the er 2x for dehydration. Thats something that you want to avoid. Drink and walk, walk and drink. But in order to get through this entire process, youve made a great start right here. The people that i have encountered here have been wonderful. Yes, im fairly new but you have alot of old heads on here to thats maintained their weight. Reach out to support groups associated with your dr office and of course here. Hit me up on fb if you like and ill keep in touch with you. You can pick my brains if youd like. This isnt something you want to go through alone. Its not the stress of any surgery, its this Wls. Ive had several surgeries, major back surgery, neck surgery and double knee surgery 2x and 3 csections and never had my hair fall out. But this surgery with our bodies lossing the nature nutrients that we automatically produced is being lost. Thats why its so important to get that Protein in. I started with the Biotin when i started the process because i just didnt want this to be soooo bad. Maybe it wont be as bad since i already have it in my system. At least you have things you can have. My dr is nothing but liquids. Up to 3 Protein shakes per day. broth popcycles Water, thats it so those 14 days werent to bad once i got through the 4th day. Im 9wks out and ive had a headache for 3 days then i realized i hadnt eaten nothing for 2 days. You really have to make yourself eat
