I took the 1 thats up top to the nutritionist and she looked up everything and told me to send it back. Yes the label says its very high in Protein, but not the right protein that we need. So i sent it back. I ordered it because it had the unflavored kind. I got sleeved in oct and im still struggling. Everything still makes me sick and either heartburn so bad, i just dont drink anything at the time except Water. Ive had to have surgery last month because of a blockage and i couldnt have a bowel movement. Had sleeve 10/4 and i went a month without 1. Woke up and thought i was having a baby. Pain was so bad. Went to er and they did xrays and thats when they saw that i was enpacked. The tech just looked and asked when was the last time i went. I said the night before surgery....lol. they called someone from gastro and they saw the blockage so they ended up going back in. I dont feel any better and i still have to take something everyday just to go maybe once a week. So thats why i dont wanna eat and im losing weight in the worst way. I just dont feel healthy. But it wasnt because of the sleeve. Its my system. Always been slow at digesting anything and i thought this surgery would help that situation, but it has only actually made it worst. I had surgery the 9th of oct. I stalled myself because it was coming off to fast and i didnt want to look sickly. But its still coming off. Total, ive lost 98lbs from the start of program in may. At least you have things you can have. My dr is nothing but liquids. Up to 3 Protein shakes per day. broth popcycles Water, thats it so those 14 days werent to bad once i got through the 4th day. Im 9wks out and ive had a headache for 3 days then i realized i hadnt eaten nothing for 2 days. You really have to make yourself eat Sent from my SM-N920V using the BariatricPal App

This is crazy to hear so many ppl have to pay for this surgery out of pocket. I guess im blessed to be divorced right now. I was on bcbs through my husbands job for 23yrs, and we divorced 4yrs ago after finding out i have progressive Ms. Just another thing he couldnt support me through. I applied for my disability and my pcp referred me to bariatric and my medicare paid for the surgery. I dont know where id be right now if i had to pay out of pocket. Congrats. Im 9wks post op and for me, i had pain for about 3wks. That was because i actually had 3 surgeries in 1, gallbladder, sleeve , and huge hernia repair, so naturally there was more pain involved with mine. But to this day, i still have nausea in the am, still taking my zofran. But it does get alot better. I have to remind myself to eat. Im in alot of pain but the dr said that there was alot of scar tissue and they were everywhere. But they removed them and he said that since ive had alot of surgeries so they may grow back. But he told me that do not wait around and get to this point again where i cant have a bowel movement. Any signs and theyll need to go back in. This wasnt the roughest time. 3yrs ago, i didnt go for about 2 months. And i was rushed to the er in so much pain because i was impacted and they literally had to go get it. I thought having this surgery would hell relieve that but not. He said with the different test theyve done on my digestive system, its just extremely slow. When yku eat something it should take 90 minutes to get to the part of the stomach to digest. Well, mine took 6hrs. If you were 3 or 4 months out, i think those words wouldve been different. But, youre just fresh from surgery and we're really worried about your health. Im 8wks out and i know that im still healing. My stomach is still really sore so i cant imagine eating 1 wk from surgery. I dont have a appetite now, i have to make myself eat. 78lbs later, im really happy that i can find other things to do to keep my mind off of food and do other things. Im sorry for having to write this and yes its a TMI story but since i had my surgery on the 4 of oct, i mayve had 3 bowel movements. My digestive system was already slow before i had the surgery but now its really bad. Its acting like nothing in and nothing coming out. I suffer from IBS with constipation and omg, it has gotten bad. Ive had to come to the er tonight because earlier today i had the feeling that i had to go but when i tried, i had to strain. While straining, i felt this pain in my lower right stomach, real pain like cutting pain. I only went alittle. But when i got up, there was blood everywhere. I passed out. Rushed to the hospital and they called in a gastrointestinal specialist. Now, more surgery. Theyve said that because ive had 3 c sections when i had my 2 sets of twins and 1 single that i developed idhesions that have wrapped around my bowel making it hard to do #2. So off to surgery in the am. AGAIN. Youve never met someone that just wanna poop....lol. Hopefully after this i will become regular. Ill update you guys once they put me in my room. Thank you for your praying power. You are right God is an awesome God and hes always there when i need him. Ive had the worst 5yrs of my life, but out of this pain, has come some of the most beautiful people from this group. I truly believe he places ppl in your life when you need them. I dont think i could get through this without being able to vent to you guys. Ive been through so much that i have a testimony to tell honey. We're in the same boat. Im 8wks out and last week its like i woke up and wanted nothing but a bag of plain lays potatoe chips, and i got them to. I can only eat a couple but it satisfy that craving. And i dont kick myself because i dont feel like im cheating. Im not on a diet, its a life change and every now and then, i can have a treat. Its not the stress of any surgery, its this Wls. Ive had several surgeries, major back surgery, neck surgery and double knee surgery 2x and 3 csections and never had my hair fall out. But this surgery with our bodies lossing the nature nutrients that we automatically produced is being lost. Thats why its so important to get that protein in. I started with the Biotin when i started the process because i just didnt want this to be soooo bad. Maybe it wont be as bad since i already have it in my system. Here, here, me to.....depression and anxiety. I suffer from PTSD from a accident that left me disabled but ive had some bad mood swings since surgery. Idk if its hormonal or what but it can get bad at times. But ive learned to walk away and count to 10. I was in the store last week and someone made a racist statement to me because she wanted to get to where i was but she didnt say excuse me. I said to her excuse me would be the correct and fastest way to get here. She said this is why my kind isnt welcomed here anymore. Whats my kind? Wonderful, beautiful, intelligent.? The manager overheard her and asked her to leave stating they wont put up with those type of things in the store. Boy was she mad. I think if i wasnt on my meds, she wouldve seen another type of person. So i guess, theyre working....dont stress to much. But please try to count before snapping at the wife. Im 8wks and i have to make myself eat. Im having a big problem getting all my fluids and Proteins in. And that scares me. I dont want to start losing my hair, i dont wanna be sickly but my stomach always feel full. Im hoping that after this surgery im having tomorrow to remove scare tissue that has wrapped itself around the large bowels that ill be less full feeling. Im also 8wks out but i spent today in the hospital. Ive done great thus far but have had alot of problems with my bowels. They found out that i have adhedsions that have wrapped around a large part of my bowel making it very difficult for me to have a bowel movement. 8wks out only 3 movements so you can imagine how i feel. I cant get all my fluids down or Protein because i always feel full and bloated. So to the operating room at 730am. Hopefully this will make me feel much better. I wish i couldve had some thanksgiving dinner with my family. Even if it was just an ounce of potatoes. Enjoy the weekend guys and ill update you all tomorrow.
