Hannah83 got a reaction from Frustr8 in IT Tech Exams, Been Trying to Pass These Sense 2014
today I took the second part of the A-plus exam 902. I passed the 901 after one try. CompTIA is the exam company that it's taken through. I've been studying for this test since 2014 took the 801 two times failed it got closer each time to a passing grade until they retired the 800 series and 900 came out. Read texts books for both 800 and 900 series tests. for a year and a half I've been interning for a computer company and helping them fix computers, I've lost count of how many I've built from the ground up or salvaged for new parts etc.
This is the first time taking the 902 exam and I was 20 points shy of passing...I'm crushed have been sobbing my eyeballs out and will be 'graduated' out of the Wilson program I am in with a certificate saying I have time served but no certification for a plus.
900 is retired this summer, at the moment I am saving up to retake the 902 hopefully before they retire the 900 and go to the 1000 series exams. I am so exhausted I've not been employed for a very long time paid steady employment. I have high functioning autism, I work my ass off volunteer when I can at my church on Mondays. I've cried out to God to show me which way to go, to continue to push through this or give up. I don't know when to quit, I keep going. I've spent personally 500 plus on exam prep stuff, and counting if I save up for the second test retake is 215.
Do I quit? Do I keep trying? What the hell? I can't cry anymore...I'm confused and just breaking down, the fact that I've recently adjusted to my anti-depressants when my body is doing wonky adjusting this has pushed me over the edge and I don't care that it has.

"I had bloods done before but they were thinking insulin resistance. Then my bloods went all over the place in hospital!"
That's odd that they sent you home with insulin. Prior to my surgery I was pre-diabetic (insulin resistance). In the hospital, my sugar levels were all over the map. But, the hospital I was at, called the endocrinologist I have been seeing for two years. He decision was not only, no insulin, but I was to stop taking my Metformin. My levels will be checked at my PC's office and the post surgery follow up, two weeks post-op. I agree with the others here that you should follow your doctors advice and diet, and I think once your body get's used to this new diet your levles should calm down.

Until you get closer to my age then they drag out new cast of characters
Menopause-No Doctor, that did not cause my bad breath, my favorite sandwich is limburger cheese on rye bread with sliced Vidalia Onions. That will drop a moose at 50 paces.
Cataracts- No that didn't cause the rash in my groin folds, I just need some Nystatin powder until,i can have a Tummy Tuck up. See I don't have to wait for more weight loss, I already have Dunlap disease, my tummy done laps over intomy upper thighs.
Poor eyesight, poor hearing or approaching senility.:
"Listen Doctor Junior, I still can see the smirk on your little face, I heard what you said, and if you come within range of my hand I will be tempted to either slap your little face or knock you into next Sunday. Now take your laptop on a stand, get out of here while the gettings good." Take your little hand and wave bye-bye. It might be your office but I've spent enough here I done bought THIS room!" LOL

And obesity is a favorite scapegoat for the medical community. Hate your mother? Its obesity. Have a hangnail on you left big toe? Obesity caused it. Have a nosebleed? High blood pressure from obesity caused it. Requesting a sex change? You'd feel more satisfied with your gender if you weren't obese.
It's an easy excuse,so you don't have to devote much, thought Into diagnosis.
Which leads to my story of my favorite imaginary heroine Ida May.
Ida May went to her doctor one day.She said "Doctor I have pains,in my right leg" Doctor says"Ida May, you're 84 years old, of course you have pain in your right leg" Ida Mays says " Yes doctor, but my,next leg is also 84 years old and it doesn't hurt a bit."
Moral of story, don't give easy answers, do a little detectivevwork and find out what's really wrong.

I’m in the same boat. I’m 6’4” and currently sitting at 194lbs. I’ve been so focused on the losing weight part that it is now hard to wrap my head around changing my eating again to just maintain weight. I am really just beginning to explore this stage of the journey though so don’t really have much insight to offer yet.

Pretty much everyone has this issue - do a search on here for the three (or third) week stall. A pound a day is not unusual for the first couple of weeks or so, as you are mostly losing Water weight at that time. After the first couple of months, 5-10 lb per month will be the norm for most people. Also, most lose in stair steps rather than a straight, even loss per day or week, so weekly (or monthly) weigh ins are good if the variations bother you.

    Hi Everyone,

Rather than rely on what some website states, the proof is actually in blood tests checking on the levels of the vitamins and minerals.

The Bariatric Center of Excellence where I had surgery uses blood tests to check the levels of patient’s vitamins and minerals and say they are a safe alternative.

Each Center, Surgeon, NUT, etc. has different views on this. I’ll go with solid lab results that show which product works or doesn’t work.

Short of tapeworms and sewing your mouth shut, this has been the most intense, all-consuming, and most challenging year second only to 9 rounds of chem, 35 daily radiation treatments, and a double mastectomy. LOL.
Will I lose weight? Yes. And I already have. Will I keep it off? I've bet everything on the win. I'm all in. There is little else I can do to effect lasting change at this point. Do most people have to go balls to the wall in order to lose and maintain? I don't think so (these are the ones who have are normal weight and are dealing with the 5lb turkey day gain). The rest of us battling this fight know differently. This is so far from easy, it's laughable.
I would actually have a superior smirk and pitying laugh at his ludicrous and uninformed opinion.

So I haven’t even had this surgery yet and I’m already isolating my self from triggers of family, friends etc. I am seriously feeling like this is the best way for now because either people are super insensitive or they just don’t realize the words that come out their mouths. So until I’m good and ready I am MIA.... rant rave over and out

I was having a bit of thinning hair but not too badly...and it seems to be thickening up again. I am Soooooooo happy that I had this surgery. Like, ridiculously happy. 79 lbs gone!

I am eating so much less, Mostly healthy foods, staying active. My goal is 170-175....so I am pretty close.
