  2. Yea I get that you want to sell stuff, and I do buy things from your store, please for the love of God stop the popups when I am on the forum, it's slowing down my browser I've tried three just to check, it's bloatware on your webpage, annoying as all get out, and distracting. Please rethink the ads. Thanks.
  3. got it, thanks, Alex. Hitting the x helped. Still annoying as hell.

    Unsupportive mother

Yup this is it right here...my dad was very worried, and for good reason. I haven't had any of the 'regret' because I had two years of hard thinking and working before I had the sleeve done. My dad is very supportive now, he's just being a concerned dad. I've not had anyone unsupportive post the surgery, and those that were worried are not any longer. They see that 'Hannah is still Hannah' The hardest part has been my meds post-op, harder than the physical healing aspect. But I'd do it all again because, on the whole, I feel so much better with 60 plus pounds off my frame. Even more so to come, it's been a gradual loss and I've liked that.

    OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE

Hello, fellow Oct. 2017 slevers! I am down 53.1 pounds from October's 261 now a svelt 207! I like the slower loss, it's a good pace a 'just right' pace if that makes sense. I am doing better headspace-wise, thank god (I don't wish a depression relapse on anyone) My mood is stable and I'm not irritable 'happy Hannah' slowly but surely returns...I can breath better, do more push-ups, sit-ups, ex-ups, wall-sits, squats, burppies etc, per set and not feel exhausted after a workout. I'll update more as I progress.

    Poll: What is your goal?

Started out at 261 currently I am 207 and I'm 5'8" my goal is 170'ish (I had overexercising problems as a teen and borderline anorexia so I'm shooting for the higher end of healthy)
  10. (e hug to op) If we could sit and have tea or coffee I so would, take things one day at a time, hell for me it's been some days one hour at a time...I'm month 6 and have lost about 53 pounds if you need encouragement or to talk pm me please I'd love to listen...for me the hardest thing has been depression post-op, the malabsoring of my antidepressant and tweaking of it was hell I wish on no one...I didn't know how much food was a part of my coping until after the fact...I am glad that I waited two years beforehand to truly decide and you are stronger then you know...I hope these words have been of some help because my heart is behind them...
  11. my heart goes out to all of you... low-fat cheese sticks have been a godsend for me, protein and water, fiber too

    Back at the Gym!

great inspiration! Went to the gym yesterday and so didn't feel like it. I was on the spin bike for 25 minutes and then I did calenstantic exercises for 10 minutes. Stretched for 10 after all of it. It's was rainy and cold yesterday today it's nice outside but still cold. For today's workout, I cleaned the bathrooms, worked up quite a sweat making them shine! Plus it's satisfying to shower in a clean one afterward.
  15. Oh, it's legit very clean place, and it's not sold per say you are compensated for your donation. And yes they do have suggestions for staying on top of things ie. first-time doner checklist, keeping healthy for the best donations, return doner checklist. You need two forms of ID and proof of your current residence in the past 30 days. There is a bible long list as to who cannot donate people with tattoos etc. anywho yes thanks for the response.

    Near death experience

I tried to kill myself more than once, in my teens and 20's and struggled with self-harm, as well as binge eating disorder. It's only been recently that I realized how deep the roots of trauma socially were (I have High Functioning Autism) I was diagnosed when I was 19 years of age. I just have come out of a fog of depression and medication adjustment wasn't absorbing fully because it was time released. Now all the spokes on the medication wheel are turning just fine. Perhaps it was my grieving over the years that I didn't allow myself to cry but instead bled the tears? Or ate my pain away? I am glad you are in therapy (as am I) talk therapy works wonders. (soft hug)

    OCTOBER SLEEVERS CHECK IN HERE

I was 261 on October 31st, 2017 and today March 3, 2018, I am 212 pounds! My antidepressants are being adjusted and that aspect has been hellish. Crying myself to sleep some nights, now I'm coming out hopefully. I workout as I can somedays it is hard to get my butt out of bed. I get in gym time 3 days a week of about an hour, learning to give myself grace while at the same time holding myself accountable. I sleep so much better without that 50 pounds on my chest and body, more then just looks (I do look better) is I'm able to move more quickly as I workout, and I'm not yawning after I leave the gym like I used to. So it's worth the mental battle as my body is like a leveler bubble all over the place right now, it'll find the center soon enough. Pray for me regarding my ongoing depression please for those that do pray. Thanks.

    Friday Night Sermon Surprised Me

It was an encouraging thing to hear a message from my paster about his own personal weight and gluttony struggles. The message centered around 'do you want to be made whole' the example of many given when we go to the ER or hospital outside there are those with an IV pole, smoking with an oxygen mask. The obvious is they want healing but not wholeness. He was convicted by God about his weight when various health issues came crashing down on him. He elected to have a gastric bypass done a year ago. None but a few in the congregation knew. As Jesus said to the man at the pool, 'do you want to be made whole' who'd been sitting there for 38 years. He took up his mat and walked, was made whole. It takes courage to come forward and admit to this, I struggle myself with gluttony and it is sinful to willfully abuse my body in that way because, in the end, it's not being a good steward of my body, and I'm not able to live fully without being whole in every way. Potlucks, dinners etc. at church are a thing, and it's an issue that is swept under the rug a lot. The following are quotes from his notes: "I know this is an extremely sensitive issue. As a recovering obese man, and I purposely choose this phrase and terminology as it is an addiction, no different than drugs or alcohol. Eating sweet and high-fat foods releases dopamine in your brain, pleasure stimulants." "A recovering alcoholic should never take the drink any alcoholic drink, a recovering smoker shouldn’t partake of any tobacco product, a recovering gambling addict shouldn’t be buying lottery tickets! I can’t eat desserts, snack foods etc… It’s certainly permitted in the Bible but I can’t control myself with them. I needed an intervention. As most of you already know, with great conviction, prayer, prompting of the Holy Spirit coupled with the loving support of my family and the leadership of the congregation I elected to undergo Gastric By-Pass surgery a year ago, January 2017. 162 pounds later it's off! But its not over. " "I’ve had comments such as: “oh, you took the easy way”. First I can tell you that no surgery is easy. Second, I recently, much to my chagrin gained 8 pounds of which I immediately got off. Even though I had the surgery I can gain it back by eating the wrong things. The surgery just kicks started my weight loss, I must continue to exercise daily (a fit bit) and log everything I eat, and I mean everything. " His wife Barb has been doing low carb, high protein high veggies some fruit for the last year with him and has lost 60 pounds. She herself is short, but her testimony floored me. God asked her, 'What will you do when you say here I am Lord send me, and yet you are physically unable to be sent?' That stuck with me, and in tears, I repented and daily come to God for assistance. The Bible has a lot to say about taking care of our bodies: Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 It was so encouraging to me that I went to my paster and told him I had the sleeve done in Oct. and he smiled and said congratulations, keep going you look great! As a couple that leads our church, I admire them for their honesty and commitment to God, themselves their family and us as a congregation they've been entrusted with. They both are servant leaders and I am thankful for them. I just thought that this would encourage others, for it says in the scriptures that we are to encourage one another with the very thing we've been encouraged with. Hope this helps someone.
