I had 15 pounds of extra skin that was removed from stomach. It was a hard road to travel had to find a doctor that was willing to fight with my insurance company to cover the procedure. They kept saying it was cosmetic and not medical. Even though I was getting infections under the flap, the foul odors that I would have because of the infections, the psychological effect it was having on me because I wouldn’t go outside due to the fact I was afraid someone would smell the odor, and all the other doctors appointments that had copayments to document everything. Finally, in end the doctor who proformed my surgery never gave up on me and got my insurance to pay. Thank God for the doctors that actually know what we go through even after trying to get ourselves health. Good luck to everyone needs to have this done.

Last week I poured out all the alcohol in the house. I rarely drank pre op but about 6 mths post RNY I stopped declining wine with dinner and very quickly recognized that I was experiencing the food to alcohol addiction transfer.
I'm so glad the alcohol is gone! If anyone feels they are on that slippery slope I encourage you to do the same. So much easy to resist if it is not in the house.
Also, for the first time in 6 months I've broken out of the gain/lose/gain/lose the same few lbs stall and have started to lose again!

I went shopping again this weekend, building the Fall wardrobe. I was feeling kind of crappy because I had to get size 31 skinny jeans from J.Crew because of my hips and thighs. Then I thought about it. I used to have a 66 inch waist, my hips were 70 inches. That fact that I had to get size 31 jeans instead of 30 shouldn't be a real issue at this point. This is the point where weight loss just gets nitpicky. On the bright size. I wear a size 8 at Brooks Brothers! Also I got some size 10 over the knee boots from a brand that runs small and they fit perfect.

This weekend I purchased my first high fashion designer dress, that was not on clearance. Since I am kinda weight stable I decided to treat myself. I love clothing and I have always wanted to own a high end designer dress but I obviously I could never fit them before. It feels so good to go into a luxury store and have the sales people cater to your every whim. I am enjoying playing dress up with my new body so much!

Hello everyone....  What a ruff week it has been.  What started with a bug... Ended Thursday with my BEST friend leaving me.  Tina (my band)... is gone.  After 8 years 4 months and 13 days....  It was a great journey for sure.
The slip was pretty bad.... i was less than 24 hours from a perforated stomach.  But i feel much better.  The pain i was in was the most unbearable pain i have ever felt..... and everyone who knows me here, know how much of a high tolerance i have for pain.
So, it's up to me now.... i must continue on my journey with only the knowledge i have gained over the years and pray that i can do it alone.
But, even though i don't have my band anymore... i will still come here, because you all are my friends and i treasure your support.
    xoxo
