    Eating often?

How do you guys eat every 2 to 3 hours and still get all your liquid in? I am 4 months out and I am struggling with making sure I eat enough and drink enough each day.... after eating, I constantly feel full... then come time to eat again and I am full from drinking my liquid... Definitely not complaining, just curious how you all pull it off...

    VSG pain vs. c-section pain?

Vsg was a walk in the park versus the 2 c sections I had... one was emergency one was planned.
  4. My surgery was 9/19/16 - My surgeon told me no high intensity workouts for 6 weeks. I do an outdoor boot camp (Camp Gladiator) but I waited until December 31st to truly go back because I just didn't have the energy and wanted my body to completely heal. You lose a lot of muscle the first couple weeks after surgery so you may feel weaker when you go back to working out. I did start walking right away and made sure to walk everyday when I could get it in... Hope this helps. Good luck and Happy New Year!

    Cruise 16 days out

A friend of mine just got back from a cruise and she was only 3 weeks post op... she said the cruise line had a special menu for BARIATRIC patients... you may want to check with your cruise line and see if that option is available for you.

    100lbs lost ~ woohoo

I am so excited for you!!! 100 lbs is FANTASTIC!!! Keep up the GREAT work!!! I am at 87 lbs since last January, when I started my entire weight loss journey. I am only 13 lbs from hitting my hundred pounds. I am trying to hit that by December 31st so I can say that I have lost 100 lbs this year!!!

    Over 300's

I was sleeved on 9/19/2016. My January 1st 2016 weight (highest weight) was 354lbs. My 9/19/2016 surgery day weight was 314lbs this morning 10 weeks post op I am 277lbs. I see it. I love it. Just be patient. You will notice you can do things you weren't able to before. I noticed the weight loss in my face before I saw it anywhere else... Take lots of pictures and get your measurements if you are able to... helps to see the inches move when the scale may not be... three BIG things I notice about myself now that I didnt before... 1. I am starting to be able to cross my legs... 2. I can see my lady parts in the mirror when I am there... 3. My husband can wrap his arms around my whole body when hugging me.
  8. I can definitely relate. I am struggling with eating slowly... I have always been a fast eater and now I am trying not to be. I am also struggling with making sure there is a full 30 minutes between eating and drinking... the struggle is real!!! You look fantastic and I am super proud of how far we both have come! Keep it up! you are doing great!
  9. My doctor said as long as I was comfortable I can do it whenever.. We did it 3 days after my surgery... just had to play around with positions..
  10. i typically put mine on the under portion of my forearms... They stay but I am going to try and find a few other placed to put them myself.

    Today's lunch

2 ounces of rotisserie chicken 1 ounce of mashed cauliflower 1 ounce of roasted SOFT carrots...
  12. I had a pulling feeling from the top of the biggest incision which is the one they took my stomach out of... My surgeon and nurse said its completely normal. Its being caused by the stitch that they put into that muscle. My incision finally stopped hurting around week 4... Walking helped even though it was a bit painful... I am almost 6 weeks out and dont feel it anymore.

    Harder than I thought

I had my surgery on 09/19- I will be 6 weeks post op on halloween and thought I could share with you the things I have found, tried and experience (so far)... Food- Nothing tastes good to me either... I seriously struggle because nothing sounds good, nothing tastes good, nothing... it sucks. I agree, water tastes funny. I had to start drinking crystal light pink lemonade just to help get my water/liquid in. I finally can enjoy water at 5 weeks out. My problem is everything either upsets my tummy or is way to sweet... ugh, it can be so frustrating. Protein- up until this week, I was MAYBE getting 30 grams... but this week I tried something different. I have unflavored protein mix, put it into my decaf coffee with sugar free french vanilla creamer... This gave me 30 grams of protein before even eating Breakfast... along with adding 12 ounces to the 64 ounces of liquid I am supposed to be having. Ialso made sugar free protein Jello shots... pinterest!!! Then I eat something small for breakfast and lunch focusing on protein first. FYI, Chick Fil A has amazing grilled chicken nuggets that are HUGE in protein... Try that... Nothing else from there though. haha. Incision - As far as the incision goes, my incision finally stopped hurting and bothering me this last week when I uped the protein intake. Like yours, all the other ones have healed and don't bother me, but that big on still has a pulling feeling every once in a while. Its a sign that I haven't had enough protein nor liquid. At least for my body anyways. I agree that this is harder than i expected... The surgery was the easy part, having to learn my new body after is a straight struggle. It does get easier, just make sure you are trying different things. I hope this helps...

    Time off

My surgery was on 09/19. I took the day of surgery off and the rest of that week I worked from home, which I slept on and off. I went back to work that Monday after and haven't needed to take off of work since. I also have a desk job...
  15. try olive garden... i know they have soups that you could either scoop out the fillings or you could ask for just the broth of it...
