    Burst incision

I knew the ins and outs of the procedure as I have done it before. I just thought I was Superwoman and could handle a backpack instead of a suitcase , wow was I wrong.. they called me back last night and said to keep gauze on it do not manipulate the area and wear a compression garment on it like a binder. Heating pad and tylenol. So far,so good today. 🤞🤞🤞

    Burst incision

Hi dear, waiting on his response right now !! Hopefully just steri-strips and a dry dressing and my husband can do that for me ..still hurts, ouch . My surgery was Aug 18
  4. Sleeve Redo. Don't wear a 35 pound backpack when you have surgery. The incision can burst Sent from my LM-G900 using BariatricPal mobile app

    Am I worth it..

Beautiful person that you are, you are kind, empathetic,a libran like myself. I pray you find yourself throughout this mess of clouds we call life. You were born into this world, have your procedure, hold your shoulders back and head up. You my dear are worth it. I read your post as I am in the San Diego ,California airport for 6 hours waiting to catch my flight home. I just left Tijuana Mexico 3 hours ago. My surgery was August 18.. Keep a positive mind to get you to the other side of all of this. You will be so happy you did..Teresa
  6. I commend you for sharing your story. I am on the journey with you.
  7. Great idea, i weighed myself daily for the first 4 years, rarely kept a food journal. I believe honestly that would hold me accountable which is definitely what is needed. Thank you a bunch Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Hi and thanks for your response. I dont have a bariatric therapist. I have looked endlessly for a dietition with no luck. Maybe the therapist is what I need. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I am looking into the sleeve revision surgery, yes weight gain in the last year. All time low 148 pounds. Im at 184 now.Im kicking my own ass, failure again. Who has had the "sloppy sleeve" revised or from sleeve to gastric bypass? I do medical abroad in Mexico . Lapband in 2008. VSG in 2016 . Thanks for reading Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. I just want to commend you on communicating with others about the struggle as it is so real. I believe I am post op about 4 years now. I did the phentermine thing and lost 20 pounds ,that was short lived. I am on something different now called diethylpropion ER ,6 weeks so far and a measly 5 pounds down. I am hardheaded and know what I need to do. Move more than I put in my mouth as the YMCA membership isn't getting used like it should be. So again I commend you on sharing and glad I saw that I am still not the only one out there trying to make a change. And yep, don't give up. You are strong, you are important and beautiful.Cheers to you and keep that positive attitude my dear..Teresa
  11. Thank You so much for sharing, your story in encouraging to me. I got married 6 months ago and have gained 16 pounds,it's a struggle to get off what came on so easy. Thank you again
  12. Really one question and then one statement..I'm feeling kinda down about the weight gain. Some say,oh it's because you're comfortable but know it's me just not taking accountability for stuffing bad things in my mouth
  13. Can someone explain why or when the sleeve is no longer working ? I see on here folks get a revision from sleeve to mini gastric bypass. I got married 5 months ago and have gained 17 pounds .my goal weight was 150 .today I'm 168..thanks, teresa
  14. Thank you lovie, I need help. I think I'm ok when really I'm not, again thank you for responding :]
  15. Hi dear, thank you for sharing. I met my goal at 6 months post-op 2 years ago.i stayed at goal for a few weeks, goal is 150 I, yoyo to 160 and back down again. I convince myself it's ok to go up and down a bit but it scares me. I need a pouch reset I think, not sure what to do.
