  1. Hi - I'm scheduled to have the RNY revision from Sleeve on March 13, 2020 in TJ Mexico. I'm curious to hear about what the weightloss after revision has been for those of you that have had it. I've tried searching but I'm not finding a ton on stats. I'm having the revision due to GERD and to continue losing weight. I have about 80 lbs to lose total after losing about 120 lbs with the sleeve. Here is my before (420 lbs) and after to date (306 lbs). Lowest weight was 279 which I'm trying to get back to by my surgery date.

    Calories 2+ Years Post-Op

Awesome! Thank you for this. I'm working out 4-6 days a week roughly. 3 of those workouts are intense weight training sessions I'm doing. I'm burning close to 700 calories or more each time. I've been tracking my macros closely this week and here is where they are at so far, so I'm really thinking that I need to up my calories? For whatever reason, that's "scary" to me so I know I'm holding myself back on calorie intake as well. Monday Protein - 84 Carbs - 94 Fat - 31 Calories - 953 Tuesday Protein - 97 Carbs - 68 Fat - 34 Calories - 930 Wednesday Protein - 97 Carbs - 63 Fat - 57 Calories - 1128

Are you in maintenance or still trying to lose?

    Calories 2+ Years Post-Op

yeah, WW has been great honestly. It has helped me get out of the whole "carbs are the devil" mindset from the post op diet. I still don't eat a lot of carbs, but I eat more than I once did, and when I do it's healthy/nutrient rich ones! I'm averaging about 950~ calories a day and I don't eat anywhere close to my daily point allowance at all. I workout 4 or more days a week too, so I'm almost certain that I need to up my calories now.
  5. Hi! I'm curious to see how many calories you all consume that are more than 2 years post op? I currently do weight watchers to help keep me on track, all while sticking to the "rules" of VSG surgery. So far it's been extremely successful! However, if you guys know about WW, you are tracking points and NOT macros. I recently started tracking my points and also tracking in myfitnesspal, but I'm not sure that my calories are in a good spot.

I need help keeping this secret!

I made the decision to tell people once it was approved. My mom had surgery and kept it all a secret from us until the week before and honestly it made it worse because we weren't able to research it or anything on our own. It's definitely a personal decision. Just know that you're always going to have assholes out there that will shame you for it, but you'll be surprised how many people you didn't know that have had it. Either way, I'm excited for you and your family! You're going to feel like a whole new person <3

What will my new size be?

I also agree. I would wait. My reason for waiting though is because as I've been losing, I've been working towards this pair of jeans in my closet that I bought at a 16 (I started at a 26). I'm in an 18 now and they are still NO where close to fitting. I got really discouraged when stuff doesn't fit yet. I can tell you it's a way better experience to wait and be shocked in the store, than to just buy and become impatient!

Good luck! You're going to do great!

    Help with protein

so I would reccommend purchasing genepro! it IS a protein powder, but you can mix it in anything (it's flavorless). I try to stay away from shakes because I become so dependent on them/replace all of my meals with them. Instead, I eat "normal" now and since I drink a lot of coffee during the day, I just add genepro to my coffee and I can never tell its there! I had it during my pureed stage too and would put it into pudding and stuff. works wonders! it's a tablespoon sized scoop and is 30 grams of protein per scoop.

    Do you like sushi ?

although we are supposed to avoid the rice, I've eaten normal sushi twice in the past 6 months. I had the same fears as you did. I did just fine but I stopped myself after 2 pieces because I knew the rice would start expanding as it sits in my stomach. So I would suggest eating off of a friends plate, rather than getting your own roll!

    In need of a Mentor

Hi! So I had the gastric sleeve, and while I don't have experience with the Band, I'd be happy to help coach you and keep you motivated! Anything at all that I can do to help, I'm happy to do so <3
