    Drinking with Meals?

I was told that when you drink with your meals you tend to eat more because you're drinking will liquefy your meals rather than just your body's natural juices. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App Exactly Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

  6. I would be afraid to try it! My nutritionist stressed the importance of following the phases to the letter so that the stomach can properly heal. But it really depends on how the first useful spoonfuls sit in your stomach. Good luck. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Surgery Date- June 13th!

Hi-C, I am a Lap Band to SIPS revision. I am 9 days post-op and down 14 pounds! Surgery went well. The next day, I was taken down for an esophagram to check for leaks and everything was good. The worst part was having to drink the contrast. I felt weak and groggy and uncomfortable but not really in pain. Today I walked walked 1 mile and a half and I'm feeling good! Your date will be here before you know it. I'm so excited for you! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Burger commercials piss me off

Go walking, I am so glad someone said it. I live with my husband and I just finished preparing him buffalo wings with ranch dressing on the side! Tje whole house smells of his dinner. I on the other hand had runny Beans and a cup of tea.. but I'm the one with the weight problem! It is important that I always remember the "WHY" behind my decision to have the SIPS procedure 9 days ago. I am down 14 pounds and I can see the weight loss in the mirror. No food is worth that feeling I received from looking at myself. Keep your heads up and watch DVDs instead lol. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    1 week post op.

Hi Family, I am 9 days post-op SIPS procedure. I've lost 14 pounds and I've actually grown to love my protein shakes! I use EAS vanilla and it tastes really good mixed with water. Good luck on your procedure and you will not be sorry! Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

    Oh, the lying!

I'm experiencing the same thing at my job. I'm losing weight people see it and I'm wondering how. On my day of surgery I lied and told them I was having an esophageal problem because I've suffered from Gerd for years. Only my immediate family knows and I pray that my sister doesn't mention it on Facebook! I have asked her not to mention it to anyone. I guess the lying for me is due to feeling like a failure at losing weight on my own. But I do not regret my decision to have the SIPS procedure on April 5th 2016. I am down 14 pounds! 13. I have not experienced what you're going through at this time as I am only 9 days post-op. However I'm having difficulty with consuming running Beans . I'm good with the Protein shakes and the Water sometimes but when I tried to make the beans experience of fullness for three and a half hours which left me unable to eat anything else for the remainder of the evening. I have to get in at least 40 more grams of protein before I go to bed. I know it's not going to happen. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Hi Princess. I too am BRAND NEW. Surgery date scheduled for April 5, 2016. PSYCHED!! I can not wait to start this new journey of LIVING. My goal is to feel comfortable in my skin. Getting on a plane and not needing an EXTRA strap will probably make me cry..but they will be tears of JOY! Chat more later. That has always embarrassed me...the plane ride with extra seatbelt straps! 9 lbs down and counting.. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App

Brand spankin new - SIPS surgery March 10 2016

Hi there! I am just over two weeks postop. Recovery is going great. I've been able to tolerate everything that I've consumed (drinks & food). I had a slight complication during surgery (a leak in my small intestine), but he fixed me up in surgery and I haven't had a problem at all. Im getting around really well, too - I just get fatigued quickly. So far, so good! Good luck along your journey, and if you have any questions, I'd be glad to help. xoHi monster, I am 8 days post SIPS and I feel fabulous! I spent the day planning runny Beans meals, Protein drinks and Greek yogurt meals (totalling 75 grade protein!) Surgery date 4.5.16 weight 255.4. Weight this morning 246.2! Girl you know that is what this journey is all about. I am happy with my decision. Check in with your bariatric team as often as you need to. We are here for you!
